La obra se divide en dos partes: una teórica, en la que la semiótica se une a la pedagogía y se explica cómo y por qué migrar del concepto currículum oculto al concepto pedagogías invisibles, y una segunda en la que se explica cómo aplicar la semiótica en el aula mediante el método DAT (Detectar, Analizar, Transformar) a través de la exposición de trece estudios de caso.
