Kawasan Cagar Budaya Nasional Muarajambi saat ini telah menjadi objek wisata unggulan di wilayah Provinsi Jambi. Jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke lokasi ini juga terus meningkat secara signifikan dari tahun ke tahun sehingga sebanding dengan peningkatan angka pendapatan yang diperoleh dari retribusi tarif masuk kawasan. Pendapatan tersebut tentunya dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membiayai kembali pelestariannya. Namun, hingga saat ini pelestariannya masih dibiayai oleh APBN. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penilaian ekonomis agar dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam menentukan kebijakan pengelolaannya di masa yang akan datang agar pelestariannya dapat berlangsung secara keberlanjutan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi jumlah kunjungan dan besarnya nilai valuasi ekonomi Kawasan Cagar Budaya Nasional Muarajambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi linear berganda dan penghitungan nilai valuasi ekonomi menggunakan Travel Cost Method (metode biaya perjalanan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel biaya perjalanan, pendapatan, usia, jarak, waktu, dummy kualitas, dan dummy substitusi objek wisata lain memiliki pengaruh terhadap jumlah kunjungan ke Kawasan Cagar Budaya Nasional Muarajambi. Namun, pengaruh yang paling signifikan terdapat pada variabel jarak dan dummy kualitas. Adapun nilai valuasi ekonomi Kawasan Cagar Budaya Nasional Muarajambi diasumsikan sebesar Rp 13.901.567.974
