Aktivitas salat ke mesjid (meunasah) juga terganggu karena masyarakat takut ke luar rumah. Sedangkan peristiwa pasca tsunami dalam buku ini dapat dibaca dalam cerpen “ Lamno Pada Sebuah Kenangan”.cerita yang mengisahkan dahsyatnya bencana tsunami yang menghancurkan pesisir pantai barat Aceh.Dan tentunya dalam cerita ini juga disuguhkann kisa romantic-tragis antara tokoh aku dengan Dek Nong.

Handoko adalah seorang pensiunan tentara yang tinggal di Jakarta. Pada suatu hari dia berangkat ke Banda Aceh dengan tujuan mencari seorang perempuan yang bernama Cut Hamama. Cut Hamama sendiri adalah seorang perempuan yang pernah di perkosa oleh Handoko sewaktu dia bertugas di Aceh dalam rangka menumpas Gerakan Pengacau Keamanan (GPK). Sesampai di Banda Aceh, Handoko menginap di Hotel Kuala Tripa. Di sana dia menghubungi teman lamanya yang bernama Syamsudin. Akhirnya suatu hari Syamsudin dan Kasim menemui Handoko di Hotel Kuala Tripa. Dalam pertemuan itu Syamsudin dan Kasim mengatakan bahwa Cut Hamama sudah lama meninggal sewaktu melahirkan. Sedangkan anak Cut Hamama itu bernama Cut Putri. Cut Putri di bawa oleh neneknya yang bernama Ibu Hasnah ke Banda Aceh. Mendengar kabar itu Handoko sangat terkejut. Esok harinya Handoko menjumpai Hamid di warung kopi di Peunayong. Dalam pertemuan itu Handoko mengatakan tentang Cut Hamama. Apa yang disampaikan Hamid tidak jauh berbeda dengan apa yang disampaikan Syamsudin dan Kasim tentang Cut Hamama. Tapi dalam pertemuan itu Handoko dan Hamid tidak menyadari bahwa Kasim memperhatikan mereka. Handoko tidak tahu bahwa, Kasim sebenarnya mengetahui keberadaan Cut Putri dan Ibu Hasnah di Banda Aceh. Kasim sengaja tidak memberitahukan keberadaan Cut Putri kepada Handoko, karena dia sebenarnya sangat membenci Handoko. Kasim kemudian menemui Ibu Hasnah di rumahnya di Lampriet. Dalam pertemuan itu Kasim menceritakan tentang kedatangan Handoko ke Banda Aceh untuk menemui Cut Hamama. Juga keinginan Handoko untuk menemui Cut Putri. Tentu saja Ibu Hasnah sangat marah pada Handoko atas keinginannya itu. Dalam pertemuan itu Kasim juga meminta izin untuk ditemukan dengan Habibi, yakni anak ibu Hasnah yang seorang anggota GAM. Suatu malam Habibi dan Kasim mendatangi Hamid (bekas mata-mata Handoko) di tempatnya bekerja sebagai juru parkir. Mereka dengan mengendarai sepeda motor menembak Hamid, tapi untunglah Hamid masih sempat diselamatkan. Dan dia dirawat di rumah sakit Zainal Abidin. Tapi Kasim, akhirnya tertangkap oleh pihak polisi yang melakukan sweeping di jalan setelah dia dan Habibi menembak Hamid. Sertu Kadir Simanjuntak kepala Intel Polda Aceh menguras keterangan dari Kasim motif penembakan itu. Kemudian Sertu Kadir Simanjuntak menemui Handoko di Hotel Kuala Tripa. Handoko sangat senang mengetahui informasi dari Sertu Kadir Simanjuntak. Berdasarkan informasi dari Kasim itu, Handoko dan Sertu Kadir Simanjuntak menemui Ibu Hasnah di rumahnya. Dalam pertemuan itu Handoko mengatakan keinginannya untuk meminta maaf atas perbuatannya di masa lalu, dan keinginannya untuk bertemu dengan anaknya yang bernama Cut Putri. Tentu saja Ibu Hasnah tidak merestuinya. Dalam pertemuan itu, tiba-tiba datang Cut Putri. Namun Cut Putri tidak mengetahui inti pembicaraan orang-orang di rumahnya itu. Melihat bahwa yang datang itu Cut Putri, hati Handoko tidak menentu. Setelah pertemuan itu, Handoko semakin tidak senang. Ia ingin sekali berterus terang pada Cut Putri bahwa dia adalah ayahnya. Dan suatu hari hasrat itu di sampaikan sendiri oleh Handoko yang di damping oleh Hamid. Mendengar penjelasan itu tentu saja Cut Putri marah pada Handoko. Suatu malam di tengah kegelisahan hatinya, Handoko berjalan-jalan pada malam hari. Tiba-tiba Habibi menembak Handoko. Orang-orang lalu melarikan Handoko ke rumah sakit. Dua hari setelah tewasnya Habibi oleh polisi dalam sebuah kontak senjata, istri Handoko yang datang dari Jakarta menemui Cut Putri. Dalam pertemuan itu, ia memberitahu pada Cut Putri tentang keinginan suaminya untuk minta maaf padanya. Setelah kepergian istri Handoko itu Cut Putri menjadi gelisah sekaligus takjub pada perempuan itu yang mau menerima Handoko walaupun dikhianati. Setelah agak pulih dari luka tembaknya, Handoko akhirnya kembali ke Jakarta. Di Bandara Sultan Iskandar, Handoko di antar oleh Syansudin dan Hamid. Menjelang pesawat akan berangkat, tiba-tiba Cut Putri datang bersama suaminya. Handoko sangat senang. Cut Putri pun akhirnya mau memaafkan Handoko. Beberapa bulan setelah pertemuan itu, terjadi gempa dan tsunami di Aceh. Handoko sangat bersedih. Karena Cut Putri dan Ibu Hasnah telah menjadi korban dahsyatnya gempa dan tsunami di Aceh.
