Este libro presenta una propuesta para el desarrollo de las habilidades de audición que se basa en el trabajo de más de una década de la Cátedra de Educación Auditiva de la Universidad Nacional de la Plata tanto en el área de docencia como en el campo de la investigación. No es un método de Audioperceptiva o Entrenamiento Auditivo (ear training o aural training), ya que, como se verá, las ideas vertidas aquí no buscan orientar una acción cronológicamente organizada ni pretenden imponer una didáctica basada en una secuencia de contenidos y actividades determinadas. Por el contrario, se presentan las bases teóricas y metodológicas para un abordaje flexible y situado de los problemas que atañen al desarrollo de las habilidades de audición. Además, tanto el marco teórico de la Audioperceptiva, que prescribe cómo se escucha la música, como el paradigma psicológico que fundamenta las prácticas del Entrenamiento Auditivo serán aquí objeto de una profunda crítica. Comprender la particularidad de esta propuesta, entonces, requiere conocer el alcance del trabajo de la cátedra mencionada y sus necesidades específicas derivadas de las características de sus destinatarios inmediatos, los estudiantes del Ciclo de Formación Básica en música de la Facultad de Bellas Artes (UNLP), y orientadas a los perfiles de las carreras allí ofrecidas. Desde los Estudios Artísticos se busca ampliar el abanico de acercamientos, cruces y desplazamientos para adentrarnos en aspectos de la creación artística. Este relato etnográfico artístico se orientó a resolver la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿Qué entienden por cuerpo y por entrenamiento Danza Común y Cortocinesis, dos colectivos de danza contemporánea de Bogotá? En la introducción exponen los motivos, las intenciones y la ruta metodológica seguida. Los capítulos y el epílogo, dan cuenta de la fundamentación teórica conceptual sobre la danza contemporánea y las nociones de cuerpo y entrenamiento desde la mirada de filósofos y artistas; los inicios, experiencias y criterios sobre estas nociones en las voces de los protagonistas/confidentes de dos agrupaciones dancísticas en la ciudad de Bogotá: Danza Común y Cortocinesis; además de la visión de la autora/investigadora. Se asume la noción de cuerpo bajo una acepción integradora de las valencias corporales que identifican al ser humano; la necesidad del entrenamiento como espacio-lugar transformador del cuerpo que somos, especialmente, en el ámbito de la expresión artística que constituye la danza y resumido en este trabajo bajo la definición de corpopoiesis.

"Composer, pianist, editor, writer, and pedagogue Mario Lavista (1943-2021) was a central figure of the cultural and artistic scene in Mexico and one of the leading Ibero-American composers of his generation. His music is often described as evocative and poetic, noted for his meticulous attention to timbre and motivic permutation, and his creative trajectory was characterized by its intersections with the other arts, particularly poetry and painting. Understanding analysis as an affective practice, this study explores the intertextual connections between the multiple texts-musical or otherwise-that are present in Lavista's music. It argues that, through adopting an interdisciplinary and transhistorical approach to music composition, Lavista forged a cosmopolitan imaginary to challenge imposed stereotypes of what Mexican music should sound like. This imaginary becomes a strategy of resistance against imperialist agendas placed upon postcolonial peripheries. Departing from traditional biographical and chronological frameworks that exalt masters and masterworks, this book offers a nuanced, personal narrative informed by conversations with composers, performers, artists, choreographers, poets, writers, and filmmakers. Implementing an innovative mosaic of methodologies, from archival work, to musical and intertextual analysis, oral history, and (auto)ethnography, this book is the first to offer a contextual framing of Lavista's career within a panoramic view of contemporary music practices in Mexico during the past fifty years"--
