Perceiving Reality examines the epistemic function of perception and the relation between language and conceptual thought, and provides new ways of conceptualizing the Buddhist defense of the reflexivity thesis of consciousness: namely, that each cognitive event is to be understood as involving a pre-reflective implicit awareness of its own occurrence.

This exciting book is an in depth study of abnormal perception and behavior. It examines how, without our knowledge, our brain secretly pushes, pulls, twists, and warps our perceptions with a mind of its own, without regard for morals, stubbornly persistent in wrongdoing, devoid of good sense or judgment, resistant to guidance or discipline, blindly and obstinately attached to some creed or opinion and intolerant toward others. This book explains how the nature of reality is distorted by our senses, turning our perceptions into an amalgam of illusions, delusions and deceptions, from which we determine our behavior. This is an excellent book written by an intellect well versed in his subject. The most abstruse complexities have been made comprehensible to the general reader; opening scenes that startle you with their depths of impenetrable mystery, and taking you on a fantastic journey through infinity. The author's skill and perfect pacing, as he presents scientific facts in the realm of psychological perception, stand alone in this extraordinary volume of knowledge.

Perception + Beliefs = Reality Life is difficult... That is how a lot of people perceive their own life and it is true for them, because that is what they believe and their sub-conscious mind would 100% support them the idea that " life is hard ." But is life really that hard or we are just making it up in our own mind? What we perceive is what we believe, and all this is based on what we hear, see, feel, and think. Our perception drives our behaviors everyday and our thoughts are perhaps the most crucial components of our ability to perceive. In this book, we will discuss in detail on the power of our perception and explore how the way our mind works affects our perception. We will take a closer look at how each of us perceive the sight and sound he/she receives in a way which is very different from each others. We will also discuss the importance of perception in our understanding of what reality really is, and show you some "real life scenarios" which will consolidate your understanding of our perception. Here is what you are about to find out.. ** Perceived truths are NOT based on Real Truth. ** The Power to Choose a Response ** How your Habitat forms Your Habits ** How to Change Your Core Beliefs "The Perception Transformation" has been composed to help you achieve a better understanding of your world and how you perceive things around you. Only through a proper understanding of perception can you learn and see the light, even in your darkest of times. By altering what you perceive as negative experiences, you can alleviate your negative emotions and your self-imposed restriction on leading a happy and healthy life.

Essay from the year 2020 in the subject Philosophy - Theoretical (Realisation, Science, Logic, Language), grade: 100, American Public University System, language: English, abstract: Whether or not humans have the capacity to objectively comprehend the cosmos is a discomforting topic; however, it is an important cosmological question that needs answered if scientists want to build the most accurate and honest concept of the universe. This paper examines this question and attempts to gain a better understanding of the perceptive capabilities of humans and their relation to external reality. Using an interdisciplinary literature review approach, the research highlights various branches of science in order to examine the limits of human perception and cognition. The scientists consulted include Eagleman, who presents the concept that experienced reality is a construct created by the brain; Hoffman, with his insistence that evolution shaped people to perceive and seek fitness points rather than truth; and multiple physicists including Barbour, Greene, Planck, and Tyson, each of whom tackle the subject of cosmology from a unique perspective. Although it cannot be declared with complete certainty, the chances of humans perceiving external reality as it truly exists are extremely low. As with other lifeforms, Homo sapiens evolved to adapt to their environment and lifestyle according to their surrounding resources, and, as such, their perception is designed for survival rather than absolute truth. The physicists disagree in some fashions, such as in the argument of the existence of time and where physics is heading in the future. However, they each agree on one point—we do not, and may never, know the true nature of the cosmos.

Rewriting perceptions of reality and unravelling the conspiracies of the modern mirror-world Have you ever wondered why things in life aren't quite as they seem? Why we celebrate distorted entertainments to such an extreme; or why an industrial-technology-media complex has become the dominant political and economic force of governance? Why our way of life seems morally corrupt and our choices upside-down? This is the Inversion: the model of reality that our brains have been programmed to accept and which also compels us to participate in and sustain. In his ground-breaking book, Kingsley Dennis examines these issues, questions this reality-model, and comes to some surprising conclusions. Dennis unpicks the complexities of our manipulated reality, enlightening readers to the nature and mechanisms of the inverted, mirror world that so many people have become lost within. Yet it does not need to remain this way – if people are ready and willing to open their eyes to what is going on around them. The Inversion deals with unpleasant truths which we too often ignore because a veil has been pulled over our eyes and minds. Within its pages, readers will find out about the hidden hands that work to normalize the madness of the ‘upside-down world.’ Dennis also examines the social engineering of spiritual control mechanisms, machinic consciousness, the metaverse, entropic or negative forces, the evolutionary impulse, the nature of the hybrid self – and much more. This book is for those readers who are ready to open their mind and to perceive a greater reality.

It is the underlying reason why our lives are the way they are. People who never examine their point of view of the world miss the chance to significantly change their lives. It is a fascinating read, full of interesting insights. It is a spring to quench one's thirst for knowledge and understanding. It can open your mind to different ways of thinking, new feelings, and novel behavior. Perception vs. Truth is a reminder that our lives can change just by changing the way we're perceiving it.
