Pharmacogenomics in Admixed Populations was conceived to compile pharmacogenetic/-genomic (PGx) data from peoples of four continents: Africa, America, Asia and Oceania, where admixture and population stratification occurs in distinct patterns. The organization of this book was formed by a population PGx perspective: an initial review of the evolution of human genetic diversity leads into a series of chapters dealing with the population structure, and the PGx profiles, of various peoples selected on the basis of continents, countries or particular sub-groups within a continent or country.
