So kann der Roman mit einer wirklichkeitsgetreuen Darstellung überzeugen. Ähnlichkeiten mit lebenden oder bereits verstorbenen Personen wären allerdings dennoch rein zufällig. Dem Verfasser des Buches gelingt es, die psychologischen Hintergründe der Verbrechen plausibel und nachvollziehbar zu schildern. Die Kriminalisten und der Leser erfahren erst Stück für Stück, warum alles so kommt, wie es gekommen ist – scheinbar zwangsläufig.
