This is an open access book. Building educational management and technology for an equitable global civilization requires a multifaceted approach, taking into account the various cultural, economic and political factors that shape the world. Building educational management and technology for an equitable global civilization requires a comprehensive and systemic approach that takes into account the needs and well-being of all individuals, communities and the environment. A just and equitable global civilization must be built on sustainable practices that guarantee the preservation of natural resources and the environment. A just civilization must ensure that all individuals have access to resources, opportunities and basic needs such as food, shelter and health care. Building educational management and technology for an equitable global civilization requires building that takes into account the needs of marginalized communities and addresses systemic inequalities. Building a just civilization must be transparent and accountable, with clear processes and structures for decision-making and resource allocation. This includes involving community members in decision-making processes and providing clear communication about building and resource management. A just civilization must ensure that individuals are safe and physically protected in their buildings and communities. This includes ensuring that buildings are structurally sound and meet safety codes, as well as implementing safety measures to protect individuals from harm. Building education management and technology should prioritize community ownership and involvement, creating spaces and opportunities for individuals to come together, connect and support one another. Overall, building educational management and technology for an equitable global civilization requires a commitment to sustainability, inclusiveness, transparency, security and community building. By prioritizing these values, we can create a more just and equitable world for all. Building educational management and technology for an equitable global civilization needs to continue to encourage the creation of an environment where everyone feels accepted, valued and supported. This means promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of organizational and educational practice. It also means taking steps to eliminate bias, discrimination.

The 1st Conference of Visual Art, Design, and Social Humanities (CONVASH) 2019 is a seminar in the fields of art, design and humanities held on November 2, 2019 by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), Universitas Sebelas Maret in Surakarta, Indonesia. Since its establishment as a Faculty 5 years ago, The Faculty of Fine Arts and Designs has conducted 4 international conferences. The 1st CONVASH 2019 is our international conference new brand and we have a commitment to hold CONVASH annually. Conference of Visual Art, Design, and Social Humanities (CONVASH) 2019 is a tangible manifestation of FSRD's efforts to contribute to science and improve publication quality on the international level. This event is expected to bring about collaboration, scientific transfer, and publications that can contribute to the scientific fields of arts, design and humanities. The conference aims to facilitate research presentations and knowledge exchange in art, design, technology, and social humanities, as well as create academic networks among students, lecturers and researchers in the related fields. Further, this conference will bring opportunities to learn together to develop quality research in various fields, expand the collaboration networks among universities and industries, and become a forum to disseminate research and knowledge to a wider audience. The committee received more than 130 papers from the participants and based on the results of the reviews, only 96 papers were declared qualified to be presented at the seminar and subsequently published in the proceedings of CONVASH-2019 Finally, the committee congratulates and expresses gratitude to the selected participants for the participation and paper publication in the proceeding of CONVASH-2019. This volume focuses on the collective wisdom of Asian philosophies and their implications for music education. All twenty chapters are written by highly regarded philosophers and music educators steeped in various Asian traditions. These chapters will include an explanation of a prominent philosophical tradition, evidence in a contemporary music teaching and learning settings (including its inception and historical development along with an explanation of how the philosophical tradition works in contemporary music education), and suggestions for potential directions in the near and distant future. The book is organized into five sections. Section I is based on Chinese philosophical traditions, which have the longest history and are some of the most influential across Asia and beyond. Chapters in Section II present a snapshot of Japanese and Korean views, beginning with the musical practices in the Joseon Period (1392-1910) that are still being practiced in South Korea today to Western influences in 19th century Japan. A collection of philosophical traditions from South and Southeast Asia are contained in Section III, ranging from the insights of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, King Rama IX of Thailand, an accomplished jazz musician, to the Balinese notion of taksu, a form of supreme energy and divine power crucial for compelling performances in the performing arts. We venture into the Islamic and the Middle Eastern world in Section IV, where the dance practices of the Hadhrami Arabs in the Malay Archipelago to traditional sharah music are contextualized within Islamic philosophy. This section also describes the philosophical ideas of the 12th-century Persian philosopher and founder of the Illuminationist (Ishraq) philosophy, Shihab al-Din al-Suhrawardi, arguing that his ideas have much to recommend music education, as this approach requires students to listen in deeper ways, absorb more abundantly, and move beyond arts education to encompass the education of the whole person. Section V concludes with a metaphorical view on a New Silk Road in music education in the 21st century, where ideas are traded for mutual benefit and the development multicultural philosophies of music education. While there are numerous publications on the philosophy of music education rooted in the Western philosophical traditions of ancient Greece, the Asian philosophical voice is virtually silent outside of Asia, and this volume aims to begin the long process of redressing this imbalance. This volume will open readers to the richness of Asian philosophical sources and hopefully stimulate dialogues that could generate new insights and directions for further development, cross-pollination, and application of some of the world's earliest philosophical traditions.

This proceeding contains selected papers of The International Seminar On Recent Language, Literature, And Local Culture Studies “Kajian Mutakhir Bahasa, Sastra, Dan Budaya Daerah (BASA)” held on 20-21 September 2019 in Solo, Indonesia. The conference which was organized by Sastra Daerah, Faculty of Cultural Sciences Universitas Sebelas Maret and Culture Studies Postgraduate Program of Universitas Sebelas Maret. The conference accommodates topics for linguistics in general including issues in language, literature, local cultural studies, philology, folklore, oral literature, history, art, education, etc. Selecting and reviewing process for the The International Seminar On Recent Language, Literature, And Local Culture Studies “Kajian Mutakhir Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya Daerah” was very challenging in that it needs a goodwill of those who were involved in such a process. More than ten experts were invited in reviewing, giving suggestions for revision and at last selecting the papers. On that account, we would like to forward our appreciation and our gratefulness to such invited experts for having done the process. The committee received more than 180 papers from the participants and based on the results of the review, only 141 papers were declared fit to be presented at the seminar and subsequently published in the proceedings of BASA#3-2019 Papers in the proceeding are expected to give academic benefits, especially in broadening the horizon of our understanding in language, literature, and local culture studies. We realize that what we are presenting for the publication is till far for being perfect. Constructive criticism is very much welcome for improvement. Finally, the committees thank for the participation and congratulate for the publication of the papers in the proceedings of BASA#3-2019. The committees also thank all those who have supported and actively participated for the success of this event. Persoalannya maukah kita menyerap nilai-nilai Ilahiah yang menjadi “jiwa murni” tiap manusia? Tidak perlu menunggu mendapatkan “petunjuk” atau hidayah untuk memulai pengembaraan pengendalian nafsu kita, asalkan kita memiliki tekad yang bulat untuk meraihnya. Karena hanya dengan cara ini saja, kebahagiaan akan datang dari segala arah tanpa disangka-sangka.

Buku Kearifan Lokal Masyarakat Tradisional Gunung Kelud ini merupakan sari hasil penelitian yang diselesaikan dalam kurun waktu hampir tiga tahun di Desa Sugihwaras, Kecamatan Ngancar, Kabupaten Kediri. Penelitian yang tujuan utamanya untuk menggali kearifan lokal ini dimulai sejak empat bulan setelah gunung api tersebut meletus tanggal 13 Februari 2014. Pelacakan dilakukan melalui folklor yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat pedesaan di lereng Gunung Kelud dengan cakupan semua unsur manifestasinya, yaitu prosesi tradisi ritual sesaji, ubo-rampe sesaji, dan ujub (mantra berbahasa Jawa) dan hal-hal lain yang menyertai jalannya ritual seperti pergelaran kesenian rakyat. Dua kegiatan ini tentu saja melibatkan semua masyarakat yang tinggal di Desa Sugihwaras, terutama penduduk lokal atau dalam buku ini disebut sebagai masyarakat tradisional Gunung Kelud, yang mempunyai keterikatan dengan gunung api dalam aktivitas sosial-budaya keseharian mereka. Semua materi dalam buku ini tidak akan terwujud tanpa bantuan kemudahan dan izin untuk melakukan penelitian yang diberikan oleh Bapak Ngasri, S.H., M.M., Camat Ngancar, Bapak Sukemi, Kepala Desa Sugihwaras, beserta seluruh stafnya.
