Tari ini bermaknaketeguhan, semangat dan juga jiwa kepahlawanan dari seorang pria.Awal berkembang tari ini, dulu hanya dijadikan sebagai saranapenyebaran dakwah agama Islam yang dilakukan di Aceh. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya syair di dalam tarianseudati yang menceritakan tentang ajaran dan nilai-nilai Islam. Didalam pementasannya, tari seudati dilakukan oleh 8 orang penari.
