This poetry collection originates from a tour taken to the Central American country of Costa Rica. Instead of doing the usual tourist thing and snapping pictures, I carried a spiral notebook and ball point pen and jotted down impressions in poetic form as I went. The poems that resulted encompass people, places and things, though not intended as a detailed travelogue. What you will get is another perspective on the philosophy and business of travel, the types of tourists that participate in it, and the people that lead it.

A collection of poems tied together into an epic that readers may find puzzling. A combination of mystical elements merged with the surreal, combined with the historical, mixed with the philosophical. The attempt has been made to explore our world and the solar system's above us that accomplishes this using an out of body experience that makes us into spiritual Peeping Toms. As the collection proceeds the main spirit (or, you may call it the main character) evolves from a benign being who acts as the observer into a major dictator of historical events and personalities from the past to the present with the goal of transforming the living world into a dream worthy of paradise. The style used here is a combination of American BEAT suffused with American jazz that is inoculated with eastern Sufism and blended into a freestyle and freewheeling mix. The writing never pretends to obey the verdicts of English grammar or the movement of proper composition that comes out of the Victorian age. In the view of this author, life is too short to worry about the conventions that are based on time-tested models that have tarnished in the hot sun over centuries.. Instead of conventions that dictate, the write just has to feel it, do it, play it, paint it as dictated by the soul. This I have tried mercifully to do.
