Polymer Viscoelasticity written by Y.-H. Lin and has been published by World Scientific this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011 with Science categories.
This book covers in great detail the Rouse-segment-based molecular theories in polymer viscoelasticity ? the Rouse theory and the extended reptation theory (based on the framework of the Doi?Edwards theory) ? that have been shown to explain experimental results in a consistently quantitative way. The explanation for the 3.4 power law of viscosity, quantitative line-shape analyses of viscoelastic responses and agreements between different sorts of viscoelastic responses, the consistency between the viscoelasticity and diffusion results, the clarification of the onset of entangelement, the discovery of the number of entanglement strands per cubed entanglement distance being a universal constant and the basic mechanism of the glass transition-related thermorheological complexity are discussed or shown in great detail. The mystery behind the success of the Rouse-segment-based molecular theories over the entropic region of a viscoelastic response is revealed by the Monte Carlo simulations on the Fraenkel chains. Specifically, the simulation studies give a natural explanation for the coexistence of the energy-driven and entropy-driven modes in a viscoelastic response and provide a theoretical basis resolving the paradox that the experimentally determined sizes of Rouse and Kuhn segments are nearly the same. This book starts from a very fundamental level; each chapter is built upon the contents of the previous chapters. Thus, the readers may use the book as a textbook and eventually reach an advanced research level. This book is also a useful source of reference for physicists, chemists and material scientists.

Introduction To Wood And Natural Fiber Composites written by Douglas D. Stokke and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-10-21 with Science categories.
Over the past two decades, there has been a shift in research and industrial practice, and products traditionally manufactured primarily from wood are increasingly combined with other nonwood materials of either natural or synthetic origin. Wood and other plant-based fiber is routinely combined with adhesives, polymers, and other "ingredients" to produce composite materials. Introduction to Wood and Natural Fiber Composites draws together widely scattered information concerning fundamental concepts and technical applications, essential to the manufacture of wood and natural fiber composites. The topics addressed include basic information on the chemical and physical composition of wood and other lignocellulosic materials, the behavior of these materials under thermocompression processes, fundamentals of adhesion, specific adhesive systems used to manufacture composite materials, and an overview of the industrial technologies used to manufacture major product categories. The book concludes with a chapter on the burgeoning field of natural fiber-plastic composites. Introduction to Wood and Natural Fiber Composites is a valuable resource for upper-level undergraduate students and graduate students studying forest products and wood science, as well as for practicing professionals working in operational areas of wood- and natural-fiber processing. For more information on the Wiley Series in Renewable Resources, visit www.wiley.com/go/rrs Topics covered include: Overview of lignocellulosic material, their chemical and physical composition Consolidation behavior of wood and fiber in response to heat and pressure Fundamentals of adhesion Adhesives used to bond wood and lignocellulosic composites Manufacturing technology of major product types Fiber/plastic composites

Applied Chemistry And Chemical Engineering Volume 3 written by A. K. Haghi and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-12-22 with Mathematics categories.
Understanding mathematical modeling is fundamental in chemical engineering. This book reviews, introduces, and develops the mathematical models that are most frequently encountered in sophisticated chemical engineering domains. The volume provides a collection of models illustrating the power and richness of the mathematical sciences in supplying insight into the operation of important real-world systems. It fills a gap within modeling texts, focusing on applications across a broad range of disciplines. The first part of the book discusses the general components of the modeling process and highlights the potential of modeling in the production of nanofibers. These chapters discuss the general components of the modeling process and the evolutionary nature of successful model building in the electrospinning process. Electrospinning is the most versatile technique for the preparation of continuous nanofibers obtained from numerous materials. This section of book summarizes the state-of-the art in electrospinning as well as updates on theoretical aspects and applications. Part 2 of the book presents a selection of special topics on issues in applied chemistry and chemical engineering, including nanocomposite coating processes by electrocodeposition method, entropic factors conformational interactions, and the application of artificial neural network and meta-heuristic algorithms. This volume covers a wide range of topics in mathematical modeling, computational science, and applied mathematics. It presents a wealth of new results in the development of modeling theories and methods, advancing diverse areas of applications and promoting interdisciplinary interactions between mathematicians, scientists, engineers and representatives from other disciplines.
