Over the past seven years, the author has written several articles for the media – often on request. This volume comprises the most important of these articles. The first 50 articles (Part 1) appear in English and the last 39 (Deel 2) in Afrikaans. The footnotes indicate who published the specific article and when. The latter is important because it puts each article in context. Sometimes the content in this volume differs slightly from that which has appeared in the media. Some of the articles have also been published by other than the indicated media platform / daily newspaper, but they are not mentioned here. There are some themes that overlap in English and Afrikaans but are not direct translations of each other. More than one article has been written on certain themes and some articles were co‑authored with colleagues as indicated in the footnotes.

This book is a voice of hope in an unhinged world. It is a candid, genuine guide for those who took, as Robert Frost wrote, The Road Less Traveled. Alfred Lackey PhD, Holistic Counseling Service Patricia Wilson has a ninety-chord love song to fuel the required emotional nutrients that we need. Surely within her book lies a distinctive Rhema for all of us. Connie Lackey, founder of the Ladies Tea Ministry As I read Patricias book, it enlightened me as to what God would intend us to do. The Lord said, Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets that he may run that readeth it. (Hab 2:2) Dick Halloran, Director, Life Abundant Bible College and Healing Rooms. In reading Patricias book I received a blessing in that she was able to express herself with words that God would give her in her walk of faith with Himeven through the tragedy of her loss, knowing how God would sustain her and carry her to the next level. I found that her love for the Lord was expressed in each word I read. I know that anyone reading this book will come to know that there are treasures that only God can give. I believe from my heart that God has great and mighty things ahead for her. JoAnn Halloran, director of Life Abundant Ministry Healing Rooms. I have known Pat many years as a Christian sister, and she lives by Be doers of the Word and not hearers only. James 1:22 (NKJV) I highly recommend this book to all as an inspirational devotion! Vickie Linnins, Teacher My friend, the young-hearted, godly enthusiast Pat Wilson, takes you face-to-face with life and love by rendering her ideas of love to the loveless and strength to the weak. She is inserting the keys to these mysteries as she sees fit, to help fill emptiness and mend brokenness. This book should be taken with you and used as positive energy for any day of your life as our Earth Angel Pat intended it. Donna V. Have you ever just wondered about life? What is Life? Is there God? How do we fit into the universe? What is our relationship with other living things? What does it mean to be human? Doctor Ergo provides you with a firm background and vantage point from which to view those questions. You will gain a comprehensive perspective on Life and the human condition - from the Big Bang, through Life history on this planet, to the current condition of our human mind and species, and some solid thoughts on what Life....is. This is a Story of Life. In a Darwinian world, our mental capacity has enabled us to ascend to the pinnacle of the survival pyramid. Therefore, the essence of the story about our species centers on our mind. Our cognitive skills are built upon the neural architectures that originally developed for vision and for speech/hearing. We can be aware of the 2 sides of our mind through introspection of our own consciousness: Vision based - non-verbal emotions, feelings and intuitions coming from our vision-based cognition in our Right Brain. Speech based - words, thoughts, and reasoning coming from our speech-based cognition in our Left Brain. Vision developed quickly in the Cambrian Period (570 million years ago) when the earliest animals with body forms emerged. Vision enabled the animal to see the "world," and gave the animal a sense of "self," i.e. that which was viewing the world. Consequently the concepts of "world" and "self" are deeply embedded in the cognition that developed from the vision neurological architecture. Likewise, Darwinian survival necessitated identification of same-species animals (for protection and reproduction); hence the concept of "group" is also deeply embedded in the vision-based neurology. Our speech-based left brain has no equal anywhere else in Life on this planet. This is what has made possible the major advances of the human mind, separated us from the animals, and enabled us to conquer the planet. This Sensory Mind model clarifies Plato's writings and the psychological models that were developed by Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. The personality types tested by Myers-Briggs, which are based on the theories of Carl Jung, are consistent with the Sensory Mind. Major trends in human history have been about the growth of our collective left brain in the governance of human affairs and its interplay with our vision-based (non-verbal) right mind. Our human "advances" have largely resulted from development of our speech-based mind, but the essence and truth of life comes to us from our vision-based mind. Our earliest groupings and civilizations were largely governed by vision-based animal grouping models. These have evolved into newer civilizations and human groupings that include participation and/or leadership of our left brain "group-think." We are very familiar with the concept of Darwinian survival and its role in the evolution of Life. However, Darwinian survival is simply the strategy or tactic that governs the advancement of Life. What is it that drives Life to engage in the Darwinian struggle for survival? There IS a Life Drive that fuels evolution...what is it? The Life Drive permeates all of life and is the force that drives Darwinian evolution. It is theorized that Life is a previously unidentified parameter in Einstein's Theory of Relativity and that it exists at the conditions opposite to the Big Bang conditions. Most religious and belief systems, whether god-based such as Judaism, Christianity, or Islam, or spiritually-based such as Buddhism or Taoism, are oriented towards the ultimate truth that is Life.

Do your horizons limit your dreams—or do your dreams expand your horizons? The poems included in Poems to Ponder on The Road to Life reveal personal experiences in expanding horizons as one learns how to travel on The Road TO Life. Poetic allusions spark the spirit’s curiosity to seek out the technique buried within the prose. Some of the poems are original while others were dictated from beings who have traversed The Road TO Life; a journey of the soul. Through all the dreams and apparent realities there is a way; a path when you find it; a road when you start to explore it; and a highway when you learn to travel upon it. It is a labyrinth of progressions that teach you how to manage the energy of divine life. You must learn how to hold the velocity, energy, and magic of that level of life in your own being. The poetry in the collection is about some of the author’s experiences, observations, and conclusions as he journeyed back along The Road TO Life.

John Brooke's pondered poetic scribbles are the result of a lifetime dedicated to exploring humanity has to be true and real. Loving relationships and hateful aversion to all that man-unkind has done to the planet over ions of ignorance. It's truly a miracle that we humans have survived this long as we continue to ignore the basic meaning of life.
