Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Politik - Internationale Politik - Thema: Europaische Union, Note: 2,0, Andrassy Gyula Budapesti Nemet Nyelvu Egyetem (Fakultat fur Internationale Beziehungen), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit sollen einige politische Parteien vorgestellt werden, die sich selbst als populistisch verstehen und gegen die Grundsatze der Europaischen Union handeln. Dabei ist das Ziel der Untersuchung, anhand von Geschehnissen der letzten Jahre, ein Verstandnis fur aktuelle politische Entwicklungen zu erhalten sowie einen Ausblick uber die Zukunft der EU zu gewinnen. Da das Thema der Arbeit recht weit gefachert ist, soll hier nur auf einzelne Falle von Populismus und Europaskeptizismus eingegangen werden, um anhand von Fallbeispielen einen Uberblick uber politische Parteien in Europa zu bieten. Ein argumentativer Vergleich mit anschliessendem Fazit uber die Gesamtheit der politischen Situation in der EU wurde an dieser Stelle uber den Rahmen der Arbeit hinausgehen. Im Juni 2012 entschieden die Nationalstaaten, ihre Macht uber die Grenzkontrollen nicht mit dem Europaischen Parlament zu teilen. Die vertraglich geplante Personenfreizugigkeit innerhalb der EU stellte aus Sicht der Staaten eine zu grosse Einschrankung ihrer Souveranitat dar. Im selben Jahr belegte die Vorsitzende der rechtsextremen Partei Front National, Marine Le Pen, mit 18% der Wahlerstimmen den dritten Platz bei den franzosischen Prasidentschaftswahlen, direkt hinter Francois Hollande und Nicolas Sarkozy. Diese beiden Ereignisse sind nur zwei von vielen Beispielen fur den politischen Transformationsprozess der letzten Jahre im Bereich demokratischer Entscheidungsfindung und gesellschaftlicher Ordnung."

This book discusses the Party for Freedom (PVV), a political party in the Netherlands, founded and led by Geert Wilders. Attaining between 10 and 18% of the votes, the PVV has become one of the largest parties in the Netherlands and is the only political party worldwide without members.
