Un libro sui generis per un Autore sui generis. nato (orgogliosamente) alla ‘corte posturologica’ di Bernard Bricot, con il quale è co-fondatore della sez Italiana del Collegio Internazionale di studi della Statica, Sergio Ettore Salteri, medico-chirurgo ‘curioso’, come ama definirsi, sicuramente controcorrente, espone la propria visione (clinico strumentale) di POSTUROLOGIA, la Posturologia Vettoriale Interdisciplinare® appunto, col piglio narrativo di un’opera autobiografica. Nel libro non esistono capitoli ma è un viaggio culturale nella propria evoluzione professionale, mossa da un’ostinazione tutta toscana e da un continuo mettersi in discussione per cercare di comprendere e di trovare un senso logico ai complessi meccanismi di funzionamento (e malfunzionamento) della nostra MACCHINA-CORPO. E’ evidente il tentativo di rendere semplici e quindi fruibili concetti sicuramente ostici e spesso snobbati o ignorati da una classe medica che troppo spesso vive passivamente la propria professione e che dimentica che lo sviluppo dell’Ars Medica, che costituisce un obbligo morale per il MEDICO, è frutto di curiosità e passione per la RICERCA . Secondo Salteri la VISITA MEDICA deve assumere il carattere di una vera e propria investigazione nella quale, interrogando quello specifico sistema con adeguati accertamenti strumentali, bisogna valutare gli effetti che le nostre proposte/ipotesi terapeutiche (bite, occhiali, solette, trattamenti vari…) hanno sulla funzionalità globale ed in particolare, nel caso della POSTUROLOGIA, sulla capacità o meno di modificare permanentemente nella fisiologia quello schema disfunzionale che ha portato alla patologia lamentata e/o alla riduzione della performance nello sportivo . Intuizioni spesso apparentemente banali possono portare a piccole rivoluzioni culturali in grado di modificare radicalmente, facilitandole, le proprie metodologie di lavoro, fornendoci nel contempo un’arma in più per rispondere alla continua richiesta di SALUTE che i nostri Pazienti ci pongono. Un’opera che non può mancare nella propria libreria, da leggere tutta d’un fiato cercando di apprenderne i concetti principali per poi contestualizzarli nella propria quotidianità professionale (non necessariamente solo medica). Come dice spesso Salteri, non bisogna essere ‘culturalmente passivi’ ma è necessario farsi un’idea ‘con la propria testa’ di quanto ci viene insegnato: a questa legge ovviamente non deve sottrarsi neanche quanto si propone in questa prima sua opera che aspira a divenire la prima di una, auspichiamo, lunga serie di lavori.
