Ma il clima di provincia a Nina sta troppo stretto, così, concluso il liceo, decide di trasferirsi dal piccolo paesino del salernitano dove vive coi genitori a Napoli, per frequentare la facoltà di Lingue Orientali. La affascina la Cina, quel paese antico custode di tradizioni e usanze lontane dal nostro mondo occidentale. Le strade che si aprono davanti a Nina sono tante. Per una come lei, desiderosa di andare il più lontano possibile e di fare nuove esperienze, ogni Paese è un’avventura, una scoperta, e nonostante le difficoltà riesce sempre a trovare nuovi stimoli per affrontarle. Eppure a volte il destino si mette di traverso e sul più bello gioca brutti scherzi. La vita di Nina, tra amori persi e altri ritrovati, tra lavori stimolanti e cadute vertiginose, sarà un alternarsi di alti e bassi, di traguardi raggiunti e di sconfitte dolorose. Una vita comunque vissuta fino in fondo, senza paure e con coraggio. Rossella Cerrone è nata a Salerno nel 1978. Dopo gli studi classici si è laureata in Lingue e letterature straniere (cinese e inglese) con indirizzo filologico-letterario presso l’Istituto Universitario l’Orientale di Napoli. Per i suoi studi ha vissuto per un anno in Cina, in particolare a Pechino, mentre per brevi periodi fra Londra, Malta e Dublino. Dal 2003 al 2008 ha lavorato presso il Consolato della Repubblica Popolare Cinese a Firenze, dal 2005 al 2006 per la società Bains de Mer del Principato di Monaco in qualità di interprete di lingua cinese. Nel 2008 ha collaborato con altri sinologi alla scrittura del libro Conoscere la Cina per la città di Sansepolcro. Dal 2008 al 2018 ha lavorato come responsabile eventi internazionali per una società privata di Salerno. Oggi segue varie attività ed è un’appassionata di lettura, viaggi e del vivere in armonia con la natura.
