Strategi pemasaran menjadi cukup penting untuk dikaji sebagai representasi dan efektivitas kinerja dari sebuah bank syariah. Selain itu, fokus dari buku ini juga ingin membuktikan seberapa besar pengaruh kemajuan kota dan keagamaan dalam menentukan preferensi konsumen terhadap produk pembiayaan rumah di wilayah Tangerang raya. Selanjutnya, penelitian dalam buku ini menggunakan metode penelitian campuran (mixed methods) dengan desain eksplanatori sekuensial (sequential explanatory design), yakni penelitian kuantitatif sebagai pendekatan utama dan kualitatif sebagai fisilitator. Sementara objek pada penelitian ini adalah nasabah pembiayaan rumah pada bank syariah yang meliputi BRI Syariah, Mandiri Syariah, BNI Syariah, BTN Syariah, dan BJB Syariah di wilayah Tangerang Raya. Perlu diketahui bahwa proses penelitian dalam buku ini dilakukan sebelum bank syariah dileburkan menjadi Bank Syariah Indonesia, sehingga objek bank syariah terklasifikasi secara jelas.

The subject of Islamic economics has gained considerable attention in the last four decades with the emergence of Islamic financial institutions around the world. This phenomenon has motivated economists to develop a comprehensive theoretical framework of modern monetary economics for Islamic economic system. An important characteristic of the Islamic economic system is the abolition of interest from the financial system. Islamic monetary economics is distinguished from conventional monetary economics due to the absence of interest. Therefore, under the Islamic economic system, monetary policy has to depend on other tools. In the early theoretical literature on Islamic monetary economics, many have discussed the role of money in Islamic economics system, while the number of empirical studies on Islamic monetary economics is a relatively new phenomenon. According to Islamic scholars, there are three main goals of Islamic monetary policy: a) economic well-being with full employment and optimum rate of economic growth; b) socioeconomic justice and equitable distribution of income and wealth and c) stability in the value of money. Hence, the Islamic monetary policy has several socioeconomic and ethical implications. This paper provides a comprehensive, global database of deposit insurance arrangements as of 2013. We extend our earlier dataset by including recent adopters of deposit insurance and information on the use of government guarantees on banks’ assets and liabilities, including during the recent global financial crisis. We also create a Safety Net Index capturing the generosity of the deposit insurance scheme and government guarantees on banks’ balance sheets. The data show that deposit insurance has become more widespread and more extensive in coverage since the global financial crisis, which also triggered a temporary increase in the government protection of non-deposit liabilities and bank assets. In most cases, these guarantees have since been formally removed but coverage of deposit insurance remains above pre-crisis levels, raising concerns about implicit coverage and moral hazard going forward.
