Inspired by three classic fairy tales-"The Emperor's New Clothes," "The Ugly Duckling," and "The Princess and the Pea"-all in one romantic and steamy historical romance collection featuring three novellas from the acclaimed Fiery Tales series. The Marquis's New Clothes: To save her cousin, Aimee de Miran must retrieve a jeweled ring from the most sinfully seductive man at court, the unsuspecting Marquis de Nattes. But to search his considerable wardrobe she'll have to get very close to the notorious rake...and remain immune to his intoxicating charm. Adam de Vey, Marquis de Nattes, has secretly burned for his best friend's wife for years. Now that Aimee is a widow, now that he's discovered her in his bedchambers, he intends to get very close to her indeed-with his clothes-and hers-utterly forgotten... The Lovely Duckling: Reputed for his carnal skills, notorious rake, Joseph d'Alumbert, prefers amorous encounters without any sort of emotional entanglement--until a most unique lady stirs tender feelings...and hot desire. Emilie de Sarron suffered burns to her body as an infant, and keeps her scars-and her heart-well hidden. But Joseph is determined to peel away her inhibitions, one slow, sensuous kiss at a time, to reveal the beautiful swan inside... The Princess and the Diamonds: Princess Gabrielle can't sleep at night. There is something hard in her bed. No, not just the stolen diamonds tucked under her mattress, but the handsome Marquis on it... whose talent in the art of pleasure no woman can resist. But he threatens her secret mission, and worse, she stands to lose far more than the diamonds-her heart is at stake...

Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author best known for writing children's storiesincluding "The Little Mermaid" and "The Ugly Duckling." But he didn't just write short stories, and his intended audience wasn't restricted to children. In addition to his fairy tales, Andersen wrote poems, plays, novels, travel books, essays, and more. He hungered for recognition at home (Denmark) and abroad-and he got it! Eventually. Today, his stories can be read in over one hundred languages. But no matter what language they're in, Andersen's tales have got something for everyone. In them, you'll find beauty, tragedy, nature, religion, artfulness, deception, betrayal, love, death, judgment, penance, and-occasionally-a happy ending. They're complex tales, but since Andersen himself was pretty complex, we like to think that art imitates life. Or something like that. The Princess and the Pea is a literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about a young woman whose royal identity is established by a test of her physical sensitivity. The story tells of a prince who wants to marry a princess, but is having difficulty finding a suitable wife. Something is always wrong with those he meets, and he cannot be certain they are real princesses. One stormy night a young woman drenched with rain seeks shelter in the prince's castle. She claims to be a princess, so the prince's mother decides to test their unexpected unwitting guest by placing a pea in the bed she is offered for the night, covered by 20 mattresses and 20 feather-beds. In the morning, the guest tells her hosts that she endured a sleepless night, kept awake by something hard in the bed; which she is certain has bruised her. The prince rejoices. Only a real princess would have the sensitivity to feel a pea through such a quantity of bedding. The two are married, and the pea is placed in the Royal Museum. Includes vintage illustration!

And when he left for war with his older brother, Jamie, words and promises were not necessary. Four years pass and the death of his father forces Jamie home to take up the reins as the new earl, leaving his brother fighting on the front lines a world away. Maddening, infuriating, sexy Jamie makes her question her feelings. One glimpse, one word from him, awakens desire in her heart. When a simple kiss spirals out of control at the annual Valentine's Day ball, she realizes the man she never wanted is the man she needs... Will Paget cast aside all she's ever thought to be true to win the man of her dreams?

Help children work through their worries and understand that everyone has accidents sometimes with this sensitive story about a little princess and her wet sheets. Once upon a bed, in a royal palace, there lived a little princess with a big imagination called Amma. Every day she was ready to battle knights with the queen, look for mermaids with the king and even hunt for dragons with Grandma Grace. But every bedtime brought with it a whole host of worries. Her blankets felt heavy and the shadows on the walls looked dark and scary. Every morning the palace is filled with fussing about the Princess and the Pee. But what will help her? Lemons under her pillow? Ridiculous! Dry toast before bed? Preposterous! Many suggestions are made but each one makes Princess Amma more worried than the next. While the royal household is running around for a solution, kind Grandma Grace calmly encourages the Princess to relax and use her imagination to help calm her worries. With magical artwork and a gentle rhyming story, this book is designed to reassure little ones that even royal princesses have accidents. It’s the perfect way to softly introduce the subject and show them that you can find a solution together. Encourage them to share their worries and let them know they’ll be heard with this sweet picture book that can be re-read whenever accidents happen.
