Le support d'applications par lesréseaux mobiles ad-hoc (MANET) exige la prise en compte de la qualité de service (QoS). Les exigences de QoS peuvent être exprimées en termes de bande passante (vidéoconférence) ou de délai de bout-en-bout (voix sur IP). Dans cette thèse nous montrons pourquoi les solutions des réseaux filaires ne sont pas applicables telles quelles aux réseaux mobiles ad-hoc. La présence des interférences radio, les capacités limitées des ressources réseau et la mobilité des noeuds en sont les raisons majeures. Nous proposons une solution permettant doffrir une différentiation de service dans les réseaux ad-hoc tout en tenant compte des interférences. Cette solution est constituée de quatre composantes à savoir le modèle QoS, le contrôle d'admission, le routage avec QoS et l'ordonnancement.

Conçus à l’origine pour le trafic best-effort, les réseaux mobiles ad hoc (MANET) sont de plus en plus amenés à acheminer le trafic des applications imposant des contraintes de qualité de service (QoS). Les solutions pour le routage à QoS dans les MANET ont généralement été proposées comme des extensions optionnelles des protocoles best-effort. Par exemple, les liaisons y sont toujours considérées comme symétriques au sens de la connectivité, alors qu’elles ne le sont évidemment pas au sens de la QoS. De plus, dans les solutions proposées dans le cadre du protocole proactif Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR), l’effort algorithmique pour la QoS se fait souvent au détriment de l’optimisation de la diffusion qui est pourtant une des activités les plus consommatrices de ressources. L’approche proposée dans cette thèse consiste à intégrer les aspects liés à la QoS dans la représentation des MANET dès la conception du protocole de routage. Prenant pour cible le protocole OLSR, nous proposons une formulation du problème de la sélection des relais multipoints (MPR) sous forme de programme mathématique pour permettre à la fois l’optimisation de la diffusion et la prise en compte des paramètres de la qualité de service. Une heuristique proposée pour réaliser la sélection des MPR indépendamment du nombre et du type de métriques est également proposée. L’heuristique appliquée à quatre métriques ainsi que les autres mécanismes proposés sont ensuite intégrés dans OLSR. Les évaluations ciblant une application à fortes contraintes de qualité de service en établissent les performances aussi bien en environnement ouvert qu’en agglomération.

This book studies the problem of designing, at minimal cost, a two-connected network such that each edge belongs to a cycle of bounded length. This problem arises in the long-term planning of telecommunications networks. The book provides an in-depth study of the underlying polyhedron, proposing several classes of facet-defining inequalities that are used in a branch-and-cut algorithm. Several heuristics are also proposed in order to solve real-world instances of the problem, and extensive numerical results are reported. The polyhedral analysis is done in the best mathematical programming tradition. Results obtained here demonstrate how to use polyhedral theory for practical network design problems, and are therefore of interest for mathematical programming practitioners as an application of classical theoretical concepts. Moreover, telecommunications specialists can find practical solutions to real-world problems, as several heuristics are proposed that can be easily extended to related problems.
