Low Power High Level Synthesis For Nanoscale Cmos Circuits written by Saraju P. Mohanty and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-05-31 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Low-Power High-Level Synthesis for Nanoscale CMOS Circuits addresses the need for analysis, characterization, estimation, and optimization of the various forms of power dissipation in the presence of process variations of nano-CMOS technologies. The authors show very large-scale integration (VLSI) researchers and engineers how to minimize the different types of power consumption of digital circuits. The material deals primarily with high-level (architectural or behavioral) energy dissipation because the behavioral level is not as highly abstracted as the system level nor is it as complex as the gate/transistor level. At the behavioral level there is a balanced degree of freedom to explore power reduction mechanisms, the power reduction opportunities are greater, and it can cost-effectively help in investigating lower power design alternatives prior to actual circuit layout or silicon implementation. The book is a self-contained low-power, high-level synthesis text for Nanoscale VLSI design engineers and researchers. Each chapter has simple relevant examples for a better grasp of the principles presented. Several algorithms are given to provide a better understanding of the underlying concepts. The initial chapters deal with the basics of high-level synthesis, power dissipation mechanisms, and power estimation. In subsequent parts of the text, a detailed discussion of methodologies for the reduction of different types of power is presented including: • Power Reduction Fundamentals • Energy or Average Power Reduction • Peak Power Reduction • Transient Power Reduction • Leakage Power Reduction Low-Power High-Level Synthesis for Nanoscale CMOS Circuits provides a valuable resource for the design of low-power CMOS circuits.

Standard-setting, groundbreaking, authoritative, comprehensive—these often overused words perfectly describe The Circuits and Filters Handbook, Third Edition. This standard-setting resource has documented the momentous changes that have occurred in the field of electrical engineering, providing the most comprehensive coverage available. More than 150 contributing experts offer in-depth insights and enlightened perspectives into standard practices and effective techniques that will make this set the first—and most likely the only—tool you select to help you with problem solving. In its third edition, this groundbreaking bestseller surveys accomplishments in the field, providing researchers and designers with the comprehensive detail they need to optimize research and design. All five volumes include valuable information on the emerging fields of circuits and filters, both analog and digital. Coverage includes key mathematical formulas, concepts, definitions, and derivatives that must be mastered to perform cutting-edge research and design. The handbook avoids extensively detailed theory and instead concentrates on professional applications, with numerous examples provided throughout. The set includes more than 2500 illustrations and hundreds of references. Available as a comprehensive five-volume set, each of the subject-specific volumes can also be purchased separately.

This book contains the papers that have been presented at the ninth Very Large Scale Integrated Systems conference VLSI'97 that is organized biannually by IFIP Working Group 10.5. It took place at Hotel Serra Azul, in Gramado Brazil from 26-30 August 1997. Previous conferences have taken place in Edinburgh, Trondheim, Vancouver, Munich, Grenoble and Tokyo. The papers in this book report on all aspects of importance to the design of the current and future integrated systems. The current trend towards the realization of versatile Systems-on-a-Chip require attention of embedded hardware/software systems, dedicated ASIC hardware, sensors and actuators, mixed analog/digital design, video and image processing, low power battery operation and wireless communication. The papers as presented in Jhis book have been organized in two tracks, where one is dealing with VLSI System Design and Applications and the other presents VLSI Design Methods and CAD. The following topics are addressed: VLSI System Design and Applications Track • VLSI for Video and Image Processing. • Microsystem and Mixed-mode design. • Communication And Memory System Design • Cow-voltage & Low-power Analog Circuits. • High Speed Circuit Techniques • Application Specific DSP Architectures. VLSI Design Methods and CAD Track • Specification and Simulation at System Level. • Synthesis and Technology Mapping. • CAD Techniques for Low-Power Design. • Physical Design Issues in Sub-micron Technologies. • Architectural Design and Synthesis. • Testing in Complex Mixed Analog and Digital Systems.

Analysis And Design Of Autonomous Microwave Circuits written by Almudena Suarez and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2009-02-17 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Presents simulation techniques that substantially increase designers' control over the oscillationin autonomous circuits This book facilitates a sound understanding of the free-running oscillation mechanism, the start-up from the noise level, and the establishment of the steady-state oscillation. It deals with the operation principles and main characteristics of free-running and injection-locked oscillators, coupled oscillators, and parametric frequency dividers. Analysis and Design of Autonomous Microwave Circuits provides: An exploration of the main nonlinear-analysis methods, with emphasis on harmonic balance and envelope transient methods Techniques for the efficient simulation of the most common autonomous regimes A presentation and comparison of the main stability-analysis methods in the frequency domain A detailed examination of the instabilization mechanisms that delimit the operation bands of autonomous circuits Coverage of techniques used to eliminate common types of undesired behavior, such as spurious oscillations, hysteresis, and chaos A thorough presentation of the oscillator phase noise A comparison of the main methodologies of phase-noise analysis Techniques for autonomous circuit optimization, based on harmonic balance A consideration of different design objectives: presetting the oscillation frequency and output power, increasing efficiency, modifying the transient duration, and imposing operation bands Analysis and Design of Autonomous Microwave Circuits is a valuable resource for microwave designers, oscillator designers, and graduate students in RF microwave design.
