臺灣目前有四個國際商港及其輔助港，每個港在港埠的創建及長期的維護下，都累積了相當龐大的工程資料，本中心已利用地理資訊系統工具，將其中四個主要港口的碼頭、地質等資料加以數化建檔，且製作成查詢系統。本計畫規劃於今後兩年內，邀集本中心各研究群參與資料之收集及建置，繼續整補相關資料，並利用程式語言建立查詢管理流程，建置各分港及輔助港的查詢內容，另外針對台灣港埠所曾遭受的重大破壞，如颱風、地震等特定災損情形，計畫配合醫療救災環境之調查，嘗試建立港灣地區防救災體系。本計畫在年度內依港研中心研究業務之類別,分六個子計畫來彙整中心歷年研究成果,擴建本所港研中心之港灣工程基本資料庫系統,並撰寫分析程式及查詢模組。年度內所執行的五個子計畫分別為：(一)港灣地區地工資料建檔及液化自動分析模組之建立、(二)港灣地區港工材料建檔及查詢展示模組之建立、(三)港灣地區海氣象資料彙整建檔、(四)港灣設施結構資料更新建置、(五)建構港灣工程基本資料網路查詢系統、(六)運用地理資訊系統技術建立港灣地區防救災體系之研究。建置作業所採用的主要工具，包含桌上型及網路型地理資訊系統，並運用相關程式語言來開發應用模組。年度內所完成的工作,計有八大項：(1)系統架構擴建規劃設計(2)地質資料之更新及擴建(3)液化自動分析模組之建立及應用(4)海氣象調查資料查詢模組之更新及建構(5)碼頭板樁腐蝕調查資料查詢模組之建構(6)貨櫃碼頭運量查詢模組資料擴建(7)港灣工程基本資料網路查詢系統建構(8)港灣地區防救災體系架構規劃建置。後續計畫將繼續擴增資料內容，期使所建資料庫系統更臻完善。
