O propósito da coleção é divulgar as discussões sobre psicanálise que têm sido feitas no âmbito do departamento de psicologia da UNESP de Bauru pelos docentes que constituem o grupo de pesquisa do CNPq "Psicanálise – Clínica, Teoria e Cultura" e o Núcleo de Estudos, Extensão e Pesquisas em Psicanálise (NEEPPSICA), trazendo as pesquisas produzidas por esses professores e seus alunos em seus projetos, além dos interlocutores e convidados nos diversos eventos promovidos no âmbito dessa instituição. Partindo da posição de que a Psicanálise, mais do que uma proposta psicoterapêutica, consiste em um saber e em uma prática sobre o inconsciente humano que o concebe estando profundamente enraizado ao âmbito social e cultural, propõe-se, com esses trabalhos, rever o campo psicanalítico de forma reflexiva, crítica e criativa, contribuindo para sua transmissão e ampliação. Rever é um termo que condensa uma série de sentidos pertinentes a essa proposta, a começar pela homonímia com a palavra em francês para sonho (rêve), fenômeno fundante do objeto e do método psicanalíticos. Além disso, indica a reflexividade própria do intercâmbio simbólico humano, que remete tanto à constituição originária da identidade pela alteridade, quanto à posição ética de referência ao outro que nos permite transcender o narcisismo e estabelecer os vínculos sociais. Por fim, se refere à reflexão como condição da consciência racional, lembrando-se de seu papel como ideal regulatório na instituição universitária, mas também de seu caráter ilusório, o que nos convoca para uma crítica sistemática de todo o saber.

The authors present a study of education as the creation of ‘common knowledge’ or shared understanding between teacher and pupils. They show the presenting, receiving, sharing, controlling, negotiating, understanding and misunderstanding of knowledge in the classroom to be an intrinsically social communicative process which can be revealed only through close analysis of joint activity and classroom talk. Basing this analysis on a detailed examination of video-recorded school lessons with groups of 8 to 10-year-olds, they show how classroom communications take place against a background of implicit under-standing, some of which is never made explicit to pupils, while there develops during the lessons a context of assumed common knowledge about what has been said, done, or understood. The aviation industry is committed to reducing its environmental impact and has established the ambitious goals to reach carbon neutral growth by 2020 and to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50% (from 2005 levels) by 2050. Currently, the aviation industry generates approximately 2% of man-caused carbon dioxide emissions; it is a small but growing share that is projected to reach 3% by 2030. BOEING and EMBRAER, as leading aviation companies committed to a more sustainable future, have joined efforts to support initiatives to lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions derived from air transportation. These emissions represent an important global concern in the 21st century, and the growing aviation industry will need to find ways to reduce its contribution, particularly in substituting fossil fuels by sustainable biofuel. Airlines are doing their part as well. Globally, they have created the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group (SAFUG), an organization focused on accelerating the development and commercialization of sustainable aviation biofuels and representing about 30% of commercial jet fuel demand. Brazil is internationally recognized for its long experience of using biomass for energy purposes beginning with wood, sugarcane ethanol, and biodiesel. Modern bioenergy represents around 30% of the Brazilian energy matrix, and has a long track record reconciling biofuel production, food security and rural development. Much of what Brazil has done in the bioenergy area was accomplished by long-term policies and investment in research. In this context, BOEING, EMBRAER and FAPESP initiated this project to conduct a national assessment of the technological, economic and sustainability challenges and opportunities associated with the development and commercialization of sustainable biofuel for aviation in Brazil. UNICAMP was selected for the coordination of this study, with the charter to lead a highly qualified, multi-disciplinary research team.

For decades, research on children's literacy has been dominated by questions of how children learn to read. Especially among Anglophone scholars, cognitive and psycholinguistic research on reading has been the only approach to studying written language education. Echoing this, debates on methods of teaching children to read have long dominated the educational scene. This book presents an alternative view. In recent years, writing has emerged as a central aspect of becoming literate. Research in cognitive psychology has shown that writing is a highly complex activity involving a degree of planning unknown in everyday conversational uses of language. At the same time, developmental studies have revealed that when young children are asked to "write," they show a surprisingly sophisticated understanding of the representational constraints of alphabetic writing systems. They show this understanding long before they can read conventional writing on their own. The rich structure of meanings involved in the word text provided the glue that brought together a group of scholars from several disciplines in an international workshop held in Rome. Reflecting the state of the field at the time, the majority of the workshop participants were scholars working in languages other than English, especially the romance languages. Their work mirrors a linguistic and psychological research tradition that Anglophone scholars knew little of until recently. This volume provides English-language readers with updated versions of the papers presented at the meeting. The topics discussed at the workshop are represented in the chapters as follows: * the relationship between acquisition of language and familiarity with written texts; * the reciprocal "permeability" between spoken and written language; * the initial phases of text construction by children; and * the educational conditions that facilitate written language acquisition and writing practice.
