Il libro nasce dall’intesa tra il Comune di Anzio ed il Dipartimento di Comunicazione e Ricerca Sociale della Sapienza Università di Roma sulla base dell’esigenza di avviare una attività di ricognizione delle valenze culturali, turistiche e ambientali presenti sul territorio, alfine di dotarsi di uno strumento conoscitivo, di valore scientifico-disciplinare e culturale, utile alla realizzazione di una struttura fornita delle necessarie risorse umane e strumentali per la valorizzazione del patrimonio territoriale e per la promozione del turismo nel Comune di Anzio. La metodologia di indagine si basa sull’analisi di sfondo della realtà di Anzio – articolata in analisi storica, analisi demografica, analisi socio-economica e analisi del comparto turistico – e sull’analisi SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). A conclusione delle indagini sono state scelte le possibili strategie di marketing attuabili con un insieme di progetti ritenuti prioritari per lo sviluppo turistico ed economico di Anzio, che fanno riferimento al sistema delle relazioni tra città, territorio e spazi urbani; al rapporto tra comunità dei cittadini ed azioni fortemente innovative finalizzate allo sviluppo del turismo; all’individuazione di proposte ad elevato indice di attrattività.
