Détaillé séance par séance, il propose non seulement des exercices efficaces, mais développe surtout, chez le patient et ses parents, la conscience du trouble et la compréhension de sa remédiation. Le programme, conçu initialement en groupe, peut être utilisé facilement en individuel.
