A collection of monthly journals produced by the Irish Societies Coordinating Council. "Gaelic Link" was printed and published from November 1953 to July 1954. Copy-edited in Port Melbourne by editor Richard Furniss, with the assistance of Ken Toomey, the journal catered to both the established Irish community and new migrants. Running for eight issues the journal was crucial as a forum for Irish-Australian sport, culture, religion and politics. This collection includes one original copy, vol. 5, no. 1 April 1954, and photocopies of all eight issues. Also included is a photocopy of the 1954 Souvenir Programme of the Melbourne Gaelic Festival, published by the Irish Societies Coordinating Council of Victoria; and one copy of "The Sydney Gael. The Official Organ of the INA and GAA", vol.1, no. 3, 1 Oct 1953. Also, an obituary of Kerry Murphy and a 2001-2002 article on Dick Furniss.
