Let [Fraktur lowercase]g be a complex simple Lie algebra of classical type, [italic capital]U([Fraktur lowercase]g) its enveloping algebra. We classify the completely prime maximal spectrum of [italic capital]U([Fraktur lowercase]g). We also construct some interesting algebra extensions of primitive quotients of [italic capital]U([Fraktur lowercase]g), and compute their Goldie ranks, lengths as bimodules, and characteristic cycles. Finally, we study the relevance of these algebras to D. Vogan's program of "quantizing" covers of nilpotent orbits [script]O in [Fraktur lowercase]g[superscript]*.
Enright Shelton Theory And Vogan S Problem For Generalized Principal Series

Enright Shelton Theory And Vogan S Problem For Generalized Principal Series written by Brian D. Boe and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1993 with Mathematics categories.
This book investigates the composition series of generalized principal series representations induced from a maximal cuspidal parabolic subgroup of a real reductive Lie group. Boe and Collingwood study when such representations are multiplicity-free (Vogan's Problem #3) and the problem of describing their composition factors in closed form. The results obtained are strikingly similar to those of Enright and Shelton for highest weight modules. Connections with two different flag variety decompositions are discussed.

This monograph studies the topological shapes of geodesics outside a large compact set in a finitely connected, complete, and noncompact surface admitting total curvature. When the surface is homeomorphic to a plane, all such geodesics behave like those of a flat cone. In particular, the rotation numbers of the geodesics are controlled by the total curvature. Accessible to beginners in differential geometry, but also of interest to specialists, this monograph features many illustrations that enhance understanding of the main ideas.

Axiomization Of Passage From Local Structure To Global Object written by Paul Feit and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1993 with Mathematics categories.
Requiring only familiarity with the terminology of categories, this book will interest algebraic geometers and students studying schemes for the first time. Feit translates the geometric intuition of local structure into a purely categorical format, filling a gap at the foundations of algebraic geometry. The main result is that, given an initial category ${\mathcal C}$ of ""local"" objects and morphisms, there is a canonical enlargement of ${\mathcal C}$ to a category ${\mathcal C}^{gl}$ which contains all 'global' objects whose local structure derives from ${\mathcal C}$ and which is functorially equivalent to the traditional notion of 'global objects'. Using this approach, Feit unifies definitions for numerous technical objects of algebraic geometry, including schemes, Tate's rigid analytic spaces, and algebraic spaces.
Degree Theory For Equivariant Maps The General S 1 Action

Degree Theory For Equivariant Maps The General S 1 Action written by Jorge Ize and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1992 with Mathematics categories.
In this paper, we consider general [italic]S1-actions, which may differ on the domain and on the range, with isotropy subspaces with one dimension more on the domain. In the special case of self-maps the [italic]S1-degree is given by the usual degree of the invariant part, while for one parameter [italic]S1-maps one has an integer for each isotropy subgroup different from [italic]S1. In particular we recover all the [italic]S1-degrees introduced in special cases by other authors and we are also able to interpret period doubling results on the basis of our [italic]S1-degree. The applications concern essentially periodic solutions of ordinary differential equations.

G Categories written by Robert Gordon and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1993 with Mathematics categories.
A [italic]G-category is a category on which a group [italic]G acts. This work studies the 2-category [italic]G-cat of [italic]G-categories, [italic]G-functors (functors which commute with the action of [italic]G) and [italic]G-natural transformations (natural transformations which commute with the [italic]G-action). There is a particular emphasis on the relationship between a [italic]G-category and its stable subcategory, the largest sub-[italic]G-category on which [italic]G operates trivially. Also contained here are some very general applications of the theory to various additive [italic]G-categories and to [italic]G-topoi.
Separatrix Surfaces And Invariant Manifolds Of A Class Of Integrable Hamiltonian Systems And Their Perturbations

Separatrix Surfaces And Invariant Manifolds Of A Class Of Integrable Hamiltonian Systems And Their Perturbations written by Jaume Llibre and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1994 with Mathematics categories.
This work presents a study of the foliations of the energy levels of a class of integrable Hamiltonian systems by the sets of constant energy and angular momentum. This includes a classification of the topological bifurcations and a dynamical characterization of the criticalleaves (separatrix surfaces) of the foliation. Llibre and Nunes then consider Hamiltonain perturbations of this class of integrable Hamiltonians and give conditions for the persistence of the separatrix structure of the foliations and for the existence of transversal ejection-collision orbits of the perturbed system. Finally, they consider a class of non-Hamiltonian perturbations of a family of integrable systems of the type studied earlier and prove the persistence of "almost all" the tori and cylinders that foliate the energy levels of the unperturbed system as a consequence of KAM theory.
