Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membantu penyelesaian masalah-masalah. Di bidang kesehatan, penyakit tropis dan degeneratif menjadi perhatian khusus karena prevalensinya yang tinggi di Indonesia. Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu penyakit tropis yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan dan ancaman serius di sejumlah wilayah di Indonesia. Kementerian Kesehatan mencatat di tahun 2022, jumlah kumulatif kasus Dengue di Indonesia sampai dengan Minggu ke-22 dilaporkan 45.387 kasus. Sementara jumlah kematian akibat DBD mencapai 432 kasus. Penyakit degeneratif juga menyumbang permasalahan kesehatan yang besar di Indonesia. Pada RISKESDAS 2018 bahwa penyakit jantung, diabetes, stroke, dan gagal ginjal menjadi beberapa penyakit degeneratif yang dipantau di Indonesia. Penyelesaian untuk masalah penyakit tropis dan degeneratif di Indonesia dapat ditingkatkan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang ada. Pemanfaatan teknologi dapat berupa publikasi dan promosi kesehatan melalui media yang jauh lebih luas, penggunaan perangkat lunak maupun keras yang dapat membantu memantau kondisi pasien, monitoring dan evaluasi penggunaan obat, serta alat-alat diagnosis yang lebih efisien, efektif, dan akurat. Unity in Diversity and the Standardisation of Clinical Pharmacy Services represents the proceedings of the 17th Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP 2017), held 28—30 July 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The primary aim of ACCP 2017 was to bring together experts from all fields of clinical pharmacy to facilitate the discussion and exchange of research ideas and results.
