Prosiding Seminar Nasional Seni Dan Budaya "Poshuman dan Interdisiplinaritas" ini menguraikan tentang refleksi kritis atas budaya dengan kacamata poshuman. Prosiding ini diharapkan memberikan orientasi atas situasi tanpa pijakan bagi bertumbuhnya budaya yang lebih memberikan kemungkinan eksistensi manusia dalam tantangan perubahan iklim yang juga menjadi tantangan dalam mendorong poshuman. Materialisasi budaya dalam wujud seni juga layak untuk dikaji ulang agar mampu memberikan jalan yang dapat diterima dalam membantu manusia mengarungi tantangan biologis dan non biologisnya. Poshuman lahir dari sebuah situasi bahwa manusia didorong ke batas-batas yang sebelumnya tidak pernah dijumpai. Manusia menjadi perlu mempertanyakan kemanusiaannya karena perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat yang memberikan kemampuan augmentasi teknologi pada manusia. Bahkan augmentasi teknologi ini dapat melebihi batas-batas biologis dan mental manusia. Pada saat yang sama, kesadaran akan eksistensi manusia yang terancam dalam perubahan iklim global, perubahan anthroposen juga membuatnya perlu bertanya tentang kemanusiaan yang menempatkan dirinya sebagai pusat dari gagasan kemanusiaan. Dalam anthroposentrisme, manusia dengan kemanusiaannya adalah pusat gagasan. Namun, konsekuensi menempatkan dirinya tidak lagi sebagai pusat telah berimplikasi yang sangat serius pada eksistensinya sendiri. Perubahan pusat gagasan dan hilangnya batas-batas mengakibatkan perubahan yang sangat signifikan terhadap budaya yang menaungi perkembangan manusia. Budaya sebagai sistem dan struktur yang membentuk manusia kehilangan jangkar yang memberi pijakan atas basis-basis metode yang berkembang selama ini. Norma-norma yang berakar pada tradisi maupun konsep-konsep yang ada sebelumnya menjadi semakin kabur. Sekalipun demikian, tidak semua pijakan menjadi tidak relevan karena kepentingan praktis eksistensi manusia. Penataan ulang pijakan-pijakan budaya menjadi perlu untuk dilakukan untuk memberikan kepastian bagi berkembangnya budaya yang relevan dalam menjawab pertanyaan tentang kemanusiaan dan eksistensinya.

In this "Tropical Peatland Eco-management" book, eco-management is new terminology as an abbreviation of "ecology-based management for natural capital enhancement". Key concept on this eco-management is derived from previous book: "Tropical Peatland Ecosystem"(Springer, 2015, eds. by M. Osaki and N. Tsuji). Based on this new concept, this book thoroughly examines tropical peatland eco-management for scientists, political decision makers, governmental officials, land managers, students, and NGO/NPOs who are interested in 1) what the impact of peatland on climate change and ecosystem function, 2) how the management of disturbed peatland, and 3) drawing global scale restoration mechanisms of peatland and wetland. In tropical peatland, a large amount of GHGs (carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide) is emitted due to the unappropriate development and inadequate management of peatland. The peatland ecosystems consist of the carbon–water complex, which is affected easily by the impact of human and climate change. Throughout much research of tropical peatland, the problems that result from development of tropical peatland are found to stem mainly from a lack of understanding of the complexities of this ecosystem and the fragility of the relationship between peat and forest and also between carbon and water. In past, almost all peatland development and management system have been generally designed on “water drainage system”. On the contrast of old system, an innovated eco- management is, here, proposed as “water irrigation system”, including water cycling and natural capital enhancement. Through this book readers will learn the advanced peatland eco-management, with more practical methods and procedure based on ecosystem knowledge.

Is it possible to be certain of anything? If so, how? The father of modern philosophy and the founder of rational method in philosophical thought, René Descartes (1596–1650) sought the answers to these questions and in doing so, addressed the most important of methods of thinking and understanding truth. In Discourse on Method, he applies a scientific approach to philosophy that comprises four principles: to accept only what reason recognizes as "clear and distinct"; to analyze complex ideas by dividing them into smaller elements; to reconstruct the ideas; and to make accurate and complete enumerations of the data. His Meditations proceed according to this method, exploring the mind/body distinction, the nature of truth and error, the existence of God, and the essence of material things.
