It is time to leave capitalism behind. We live in a system of economic feudalism that has nothing to do with a free market economy. The innovations we need for the solution of our truly important problems are not forthcoming. How can it be that technological developments financed by the taxpayer end up enriching private companies even if their activities violate public interests? We should reward talent and real performance and promote start-ups with good ideas. Based on a clear analysis and concrete proposals, Sahra Wagenknecht launches a discussion on new forms of ownership and sketches the outlines of an innovative and just economy.

This is the story of how Tommy and the Old Man became friends and how, under the Old Man's mentorship, Tommy went from a clueless ten-year old to a prosperous businessman and mentor. Tommy learns everything from starting a business, to balancing work and family to investing in others. He even learns a thing or two about relationships. This is an excellent entry level book for those who are new to personal finance and self-help books. It is written not as a textbook, but just as an interesting life story with smart money tips weaved throughout. This would be a good book to give as a gift to young folks just starting out or others who are interested in learning about money without reading a book full of charts and graphs. This is NOT a book telling you how to become a millionaire by next Tuesday. This is a book about common sense money strategies that will lead to a life of prosperity, but it is not for the greedy at heart. The Old Man and Tommy are both focused on prosperity, not greed. The difference is what we do with what we have. Prosperity is about helping others once we have what we need. Greed is simply helping ourselves and no one else. Please read this book and leave a review if you see fit. Thank You!

Millions desperate for hope and solutions are enticed by the promise of the prosperity gospel--that God will do whatever they need with just a little faith and a financial gift. All the while, prosperity preachers exploit the poor and needy to stockpile their riches. What can followers of the true gospel do to combat the deception? Through a remarkable and fascinating journey, Costi Hinn went from a next-generation prosperity preacher to the first to abandon the family faith and share the true gospel. Nephew of the world-famous televangelist, Benny Hinn, Costi had a front-row seat to the inner workings and theology of the prosperity gospel. But as Costi's faith deepened, so did his questions about prosperity teaching. As the deceptions in his past were exposed, Costi came face to face with the hypocrisy and devastation caused by his belief system, and the overwhelming truth about the real Jesus Christ. This captivating look into the daily lives of one of the world's leading prosperity dynasties offers a thoughtful perspective on the perils of greed, the power of the true gospel, and hope for the future of the global church. Through real-life stories, Costi challenges and equips readers to be living lights pointing the way to the true gospel and the saving grace of Christ. Why is economics important? Is capitalism bad? Do stimulus plans and low-interest rates help in an economic downturn? What really caused the Great Depression and the Great Recession? Do tariffs and other protectionist policies help or hurt an economy? What is the true path to prosperity? This fast-paced, easy-to-understand guide not only answers these questions but includes a wide array of interesting topics while providing clear and illuminating explanations for each one. Daniel Cameron explains the benefits of the free enterprise system while advocating a robust role for government to enhance prosperity. Drawing from over forty years of experience, he proposes economic reform based on value not as determined by politicians, special interests, or policy wonks but by us, the citizens and true owners of the United States of America. If implemented, these ideas can lead to prosperity for all countries of the world. In his book Greed, Power and Politics: The Dismal History of Economics and the Forgotten Path to Prosperity, Cameron takes on the pseudowisdom of modern economics, big banks, the Federal Reserve, lobbyists, Congress, several US presidents (both Democrat and Republican), Marx, Keynes, Greenspan, and even Louis the IV. His arguments rise above the rancor of todays political environment, instead ending in a positive message of hope for all nations of the world.

Everyday Greed Analysis And Appraisal written by Michael S. Pritchard and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-07-31 with Business & Economics categories.

This collection examines how greed should be understood and appraised. Roundly condemned by virtually all religions, greed receives mixed appraisals in the domains of business and economics. The volume examines these mixed appraisals and how they fare in light of their implications for greed in our everyday world. Greed in children is uniformly criticized by parents, other adults, and even children’s peers. However, in adulthood, greed is commended by some as essential to profit-seeking in business and for offering the greatest promise in promoting economic prosperity for everyone. Those who advocate a more permissive position on greed in the adult world typically concede that some constraints on greed are needed. However, the supporting literature offers little analysis of what greed is (as distinct from, for example, the effort to meet modest needs, or the pursuit of ordinary self-interested ends). It offers little clarification of what sorts of constraints on greed are needed. Nor is careful attention given to difficulties children might have in making a transition without moral loss from regarding greed as inappropriate to its later qualified acceptance. Through a secular approach, this book attempts to make significant inroads in remedying these shortcomings.

Prosperity Without Growth written by Tim Jackson and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-12-08 with Business & Economics categories.

What can prosperity possibly mean in a world of environmental and social limits? The publication of Prosperity without Growth was a landmark in the sustainability debate. Tim Jackson’s piercing challenge to conventional economics openly questioned the most highly prized goal of politicians and economists alike: the continued pursuit of exponential economic growth. Its findings provoked controversy, inspired debate and led to a new wave of research building on its arguments and conclusions. This substantially revised and re-written edition updates those arguments and considerably expands upon them. Jackson demonstrates that building a ‘post-growth’ economy is a precise, definable and meaningful task. Starting from clear first principles, he sets out the dimensions of that task: the nature of enterprise; the quality of our working lives; the structure of investment; and the role of the money supply. He shows how the economy of tomorrow may be transformed in ways that protect employment, facilitate social investment, reduce inequality and deliver both ecological and financial stability. Seven years after it was first published, Prosperity without Growth is no longer a radical narrative whispered by a marginal fringe, but an essential vision of social progress in a post-crisis world. Fulfilling that vision is simply the most urgent task of our times.

Greed Is Dead written by Paul Collier and has been published by Penguin UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-07-30 with Political Science categories.

Two of the UK's leading economists call for an end to extreme individualism as the engine of prosperity 'provocative but thought-provoking and nuanced' Telegraph Throughout history, successful societies have created institutions which channel both competition and co-operation to achieve complex goals of general benefit. These institutions make the difference between societies that thrive and those paralyzed by discord, the difference between prosperous and poor economies. Such societies are pluralist but their pluralism is disciplined. Successful societies are also rare and fragile. We could not have built modernity without the exceptional competitive and co-operative instincts of humans, but in recent decades the balance between these instincts has become dangerously skewed: mutuality has been undermined by an extreme individualism which has weakened co-operation and polarized our politics. Collier and Kay show how a reaffirmation of the values of mutuality could refresh and restore politics, business and the environments in which people live. Politics could reverse the moves to extremism and tribalism; businesses could replace the greed that has degraded corporate culture; the communities and decaying places that are home to many could overcome despondency and again be prosperous and purposeful. As the world emerges from an unprecedented crisis we have the chance to examine society afresh and build a politics beyond individualism.
