Owing to the indeterminacy, incompleteness, and inconsistency of decision makers’ arguments/cognitions regarding complicated decision-making problems, the truth, falsity, and indeterminacy degrees given by decision makers may imply the partial certainty and partial uncertainty information. In this case, a simplified neutrosophic set (SNS) cannot express the uncertainty degrees of the truth, falsity, indeterminacy arguments. To depict the hybrid information of SNS and neutrosophic (indeterminate) numbers (NNs) together, this study presents a simplified neutrosophic indeterminate set (SNIS) to describe the uncertainty degrees of the truth, falsity, indeterminacy, and then based on the de-neutrosophication technology using the parameterized SNSs of SNISs we introduce the q-indeterminate correlation coefficients of SNISs.

Likert scale is the most widely used psychometric scale for obtaining feedback. The major disadvantage of Likert scale is information distortion and information loss problem that arise due to its ordinal nature and closed format. Real-world responses are mostly inconsistent, imprecise and indeterminate depending on the customers’ emotions. To capture the responses realistically, the concept of neutrosophy (study of neutralities and indeterminacy) is used. Indeterminate Likert scale based on neutrosophy is introduced in this paper. Clustering according to customer feedback is an effectiveway of classifying customers and targeting them accordingly. Clustering algorithm for feedback obtained using indeterminate Likert scaling is proposed in this paper. While dealing real-world scenarios, indeterminate Likert scaling is better in capturing the responses accurately.

As a variation of fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets, neutrosophic sets have been developed to represent uncertain, imprecise, incomplete and inconsistent information that exists in the real world. Simplified neutrosophic sets (SNSs) have been proposed for the main purpose of addressing issues with a set of specific numbers. However, there are certain problems regarding the existing operations of SNSs, as well as their aggregation operators and the comparison methods. Therefore, this paper defines the novel operations of simplified neutrosophic numbers (SNNs) and develops a comparison method based on the related research of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. On the basis of these operations and the comparison method, some SNN aggregation operators are proposed. Additionally, an approach for multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problems is explored by applying these aggregation operators. Finally, an example to illustrate the applicability of the proposed method is provided and a comparison with some other methods is made.
