Qualitative Inquiry in Transition—Pasts, Presents, & Futures: A Critical Reader gathers more than 30 internationally renowned scholars in qualitative inquiry to present provocative interventions into the politics of research, philosophy of inquiry, justice matters, and writing practices. Drawn from a decade of cutting-edge plenary volumes emanating from the annual International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry, these contributors and their chapters represent the leading edge of scholarship that has pushed the field forward over the last decade. Topics discussed include the research marketplace, data entanglements, the neoliberal university, Indigenous methodologies, slow research, performative ethics, intersectionality, civically engaged research, post-qualitative inquiry and the new materialisms, collaborative research, poetic inquiry, academic writing, and the future of the field. These and other topics comprise a moving—rather than static—center to the field, one that moves across contexts and ontologies, moves between agreement and disagreement, forges new collaborations, and informs new inter- and trans-disciplinary approaches to research. Qualitative Inquiry in Transition—Pasts, Presents, & Futures: A Critical Reader will be required reading for those seeking to understand where the field of qualitative inquiry has been and will look to go in the years to come.

Qualitative Inquiry In The Present Tense written by Norman K. Denzin and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-05-27 with Psychology categories.
In Qualitative Inquiry in the Present Tense, contributors engage with epistemological and philosophical questions concerning the conduct of qualitative inquiry in the present moment, and especially as it relates to various understandings of writing in/as inquiry. Topics addressed include methodological processes, questions of narrative uprootedness, relational inquiry, Indigenous ethico-onto-epistemologies, storytelling, and transformative writing forms and practices. This is a messy, often unruly collection (in the best way possible) of disparate ideas strung tightly together by literal and metaphorical questions of the research act of writing. Contributors from the United States, Australia, Canada, England, and Scotland imaginatively conceive of new qualitative futures—and how we might write ourselves there. This evocative new book is a must-read for faculty and students alike who are interested in and engaged with questions and ideas oriented toward understanding our current historical present in qualitative research—a moment in which the field is perpetually in motion or in flux, with new theories, methods, and orientations arising, competing, and even contradicting one another.

The poems in this project were written within a 24‐hour period of each other and are presented in order of their appearance for the month of January 2024. Written as a call and response to each other, the poems are at times direct responses in content and form, or a mediation on what the offering triggered in the other. Using poetry writing as a methodological engagement with the reflective and reflexive attributes of autoethnography, this project offers an examination of lived experience and will provide a critical expansion of poetic inquiry. An example of "collaborative spirit‐writing," this text uses a dialogical exchange of responsiveness, excavating the lived experiences of the two authors (a Black man and a Black woman) with complex intersectional identities. Using poetic writing as both form and function, this book provides a performance of remembrance and resistance. Students and researchers working with qualitative inquiry and in areas from performative writing to Critical Race Studies will find this book a useful addition to their research. Teachers will also find this book facilitates pedagogies of engagement.

This book uses letter writing as a form of engaging autoethnography to address relational histories and dynamics such as race, gender, loss, memory and resolution. It is structured around textual performances, poems, and dialogues in the form of letters. Set within the context of adult Black children and their Black mothers, each author uses their letters to reflect on life with and without mama, and their own sense of coming to know themselves in the absence of their mother. Each entry evidence encounters of pain, possibility, and potentiality collated between the authors for a robust thematic underpinning for the reader. Building upon poetic inquiry and autoethnography narratives, this book seeks to build arguments about privatized struggle, and offers a guide on reflection. In addition to students and researchers partaking in autoethnographical studies, this book is suitable for anyone studying qualitative inquiry, performance studies, gender studies, cultural studies, Black studies, anthropology, and performative writing.

Immersive Cartography And Post Qualitative Inquiry written by David Rousell and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-03-15 with Science categories.
Immersive Cartography and Post-Qualitative Inquiry introduces immersive cartography as a transdisciplinary approach to social inquiry in an age of climate change and technological transformation. Drawing together innovative theories and practices from the environmental arts, process philosophy, education studies, and posthumanism, the book frames immersive cartography as a speculative adventure that gradually transformed the physical and conceptual architectures of a university environment. The philosophical works of Alfred North Whitehead, Gilles Deleuze, and Felix Guattari are touchstones throughout the book, seeding the development of concepts that re-imagine the university through a more-than-human ecology of experience. Illustrated by detailed examples from Rousell’s artistic interventions and pedagogical experiments in university learning environments, the book offers new conceptual and practical tools for navigating the ontological turn across the social sciences, arts, and humanities. Rousell’s wide-ranging and detailed analysis of pedagogical encounters resituates learning as an affective and environmentally distributed process, proposing a "trans-qualitative" ethics and aesthetics of inquiry that is orientated toward processual relations and events. As a foothold for a new generation of scholarship in the social sciences, this book opens new directions for research across the fields of post-qualitative inquiry, art and aesthetics, critical university studies, affect theory, and the posthumanities.

This book addresses learnings from the energy transition in the Netherlands. This book brings together contributions from experts in academia and practice to the Dutch energy transition by sharing their knowledge and experience gained over many years and from different roles and responsibilities. The chapters are clustered around four key perspectives – Policy, Sector, Organization, and Future – and explore the impact of policy decisions of governments and strategic decisions of firms operating in the energy sector on the energy transition process. The different perspectives present many promising strategies, policies, and innovations on each aspect, resulting in a deeper understanding of how each of these strategies, policies, and innovations may hinder or contribute to foster the energy transition. It concludes with a reflection on lessons learned and specific managerial and policy recommendations. This volume will be of great interest to students, scholars, and industry professionals researching and working in the areas of energy transitions, sustainable business, energy technology, and energy policy.
