Après une carrière d’enseignant en lycée agricole, la retraite lui laisse du temps pour transmettre à son tour. Le contact avec la nature ne le quitte pas. « Salvanou » est un diminutif amical gagné au XIXe siècle par l’arrière-grand-père de l’auteur, contemporain de Jacques Denjean. Ce mot sera un lien familial intergénérations.
