In dieser Arbeit wird die Bedeutung der Erwartungsbildung fur die Steuerung und Stabilisierung offener Volkswirtschaften aufgezeigt. Mit Hilfe des systemtheoretischen Konzepts der Steuerbarkeit wird der Nachweis erbracht, dass auch bei rationaler Erwartungsbildung eine erfolgreiche Stabilisierungspolitik betrieben werden kann. Dies wird anhand neoklassischer Modelle fur die offene Volkswirtschaft demonstriert. Ausserdem wird im Rahmen dieser Modelle die isolierte Wirkungsweise der traditionellen Instrumente der Globalsteuerung untersucht. Es zeigt sich, dass viele Resultate genau im Gegensatz zu den Ergebnissen stehen, die aus dem traditionellen Keynes-Mundell-Fleming-Modell resultieren."

Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Arbeit „Stabilisierungspolitik und Schocks in einer Drei-Länder-Währungsunion“ befaßt sich mit den besonderen makroökonomischen Interdependenzen eines sog. „Mischwechselkurssystems“, das nach innen unter den Teilnehmerländern durch feste und nach außen hin gegenüber dem Rest der Welt durch einen gemeinsamen flexiblen Wechselkurs gekennzeichnet ist. Sie untersucht die Folgen (isolierter) stabilitätspolitischer Maßnahmen innerhalb der Union (Expansion der nominalen Geldmenge seitens der gemeinsamen Zentralbank, Erhöhung der Staatsausgaben durch ein Mitgliedsland, Senkung des Lohnnebenkostensatzes in einem Mitgliedsland) sowie externer Störungen (Steigerung des Weltzinsniveaus, Verteuerung des Rohölpreises). Unter Zuhilfenahme der „Aoki-Methode“ (einer Analysetechnik, welche die Komplexität des Modells verringert und die Handhabung derselben erleichtert) werden die Auswirkungen auf die Union als Gesamtheit, auf divergente Entwicklungen unter den Unionsländern und auf länderspezifische Größen zunächst im Rahmen einer annahmegemäß vollkommen symmetrischen (d.h. die Teilnehmerstaaten weisen keine strukturellen Unterschiede auf), dann später im Rahmen einer asymmetrischen Währungsunion analysiert. Im Gegensatz zu gängigen Abhandlungen erweitert die vorliegende Arbeit die Anzahl der betrachteten Länder, die zusammen eine Währungsunion bilden. Des weiteren findet mit der Modellierung eines speziellen Lohnbildungsprozesses auf Basis von Lohnindexierungsgraden (Stichworte: Reallohn- bzw. Nominallohnstarrheit) sowie eines neben dem üblichen Faktor „Arbeit“ zusätzlichen, dazu substitutionalen Inputs „Rohstoff“ (z.B. Rohöl) eine stärkere Berücksichtigung der Angebotsseite statt. Gang der Untersuchung: Da die Analysen in dieser Arbeit allesamt mit Hilfe der Methode der Summen und Differenzen von Aoki erfolgen, wird für das bessere Nachvollziehen im zweiten Abschnitt des ersten Kapitels beschrieben, wie diese Technik funktioniert. Im zweiten Kapitel wird ausführlich gezeigt, wie man sie anwendet. Besonderes mathematisches Vorwissen ist dazu keine Voraussetzung. Es ist lediglich die Kenntnis der Determinantenberechnung, der Cramerschen Regel und einfaches Rechnen mit Logarithmen nötig. Im dritten Kapitel startet die Analyse mit dem Symmetriefall.
