ABOUT THE AUTHOR : SAURABH GUPTA is a Mumbai based Indian 21 years old cosmology & physics enthusiast with a Bachelors in Information Technology. He has a love for gaming and it was while a gaming session which brought upon the whole idea of this book. It took almost 3-5 years of research to complete his book. He is also an aspiring application developer. He always had a craving curiosity to learn, understand and manifest the universe since childhood. Due to his everlasting love for space and craving curiosity for the mysteries of the universe, he began researching in cosmology and theoretical physics as early as when he was in 5th grade. He started to study the universe deeply; and when he was in 5th grade, his love and interest in space rose at an exponential extent. What happened was, he usually kept records of the several satellites and spacecraft and kept on tracking them. And on a particular night he witnessed and observed the ISS (International Space Station) revolving around the earth through the sky and that was the moment which gave that chills of his and the existence of the universe around him.

"Advaita Vedåanta is one of the best-known schools of Indian philosophy, but much of its history-a history closely interwoven with that of medieval and modern Hinduism-remains surprisingly unexplored. This book focuses on a single remarkable work and its place within that history: The Ocean of Inquiry, a vernacular compendium of Advaita Vedåanta by the North Indian monk Niâscaldåas (ca. 1791 - 1863). Though not well known today, Niâscaldåas's work was once referred to by Vivekananda (himself a key figure in the shaping of modern Hinduism) as the most influential book in India. The present book situates The Ocean of Inquiry as a representative of both a neglected genre (vernacular Vedåanta) and a neglected period (ca. 17th-19th centuries) in the history of Indian philosophy. It argues that the rise of Advaita Vedåanta to a position of prestige began well before the period of British rule in India, and that vernacular texts like The Ocean of Inquiry played an important role in popularizing Vedåantic teachings. It also offers a new appraisal of the period of late Advaita Vedåanta, arguing that it should not be seen as one of barren scholasticism. For thinkers like Niâscaldåas, intellectual "inquiry" (vicåara) was not an academic exercise but a spiritual practice-indeed, it was the central practice on the path to liberation. The book concludes by arguing that without understanding both vernacular Vedåanta and the scholasticism of the period, one cannot fully understand the emergence of modern Hinduism"--

“I am the Sai Baba of Shirdi come again; then, I was mostly engaged in preparing the meal; now I have come to feed you all with the strengthening, purifying repast,” says Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He announced thus, in his fourteenth year, while casting away his school books and addressing the first gathering of devotees in 1940. From the fifteenth to the eighteenth centuries, the major cultures of southern India underwent a revolution in sensibility reminiscent of what had occurred in Renaissance Italy. During this time, the imagination came to be recognized as the defining feature of human beings. More than Real draws our attention to a period in Indian history that signified major civilizational change and the emergence of a new, proto-modern vision. In general, India conceived of the imagination as a causative agent: things we perceive are real because we imagine them.
