Three recent B physics results at CDF are presented. The first analysis measures the production polarization of the [psi](2S) from its decay into [mu]+[mu]-. The second one determines the [chi]b contribution to the [Upsilon](1S) production. Both analyses are important tests of the Color Octet Model. The third analysis related here is a measurement of the full decay amplitudes of B0 → J/[psi]K*0 and B0s → J/[psi][phi]. This provides both a test of the factorization model and information relevant to CP violation studies in the B sector. All of the results are to be considered preliminary.

B-physics results from the CDF Collaboration based on data collected during the Tevatron run 1A and 1B are presented. In particular we discuss the measurements of B meson masses and lifetimes, the limits set on rare B decay branching ratios and B{sub o}{bar B}{sub o} mixing results obtained with both time-integrated and time-evolution analysis. We use the current results to extrapolate CDF B-physics prospects to the end of run 1 and to the future high luminosity run II.

Current CDF b-physics results are presented. The analysis is based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.4 pb−1 recorded with the CDF detector in 88--89 at the Fermilab Tevatron p{bar p} collider (√{bar s} = 1.8 TeV). Preliminary results include the differential cross section {sub dPt}/{sup d{sigma}(b)}, some reconstructed exclusive B-decays, a limit for the rare decay B° →??− and a measurement of B{bar B}-mixing parameters. Finally we will discuss the prospects concerning b-physics for the next data run which will start in February 1992. 12 refs., 8 figs.

We review recent B physics results from the CDF and D0 experiments in p{bar p} collisions at √(s) = 1.96 TeV. Using a data sample of 1.4-6.0 fb−1 collected by the CDF II detector we present searches for New Physics in B{sub s} sector and some competitive results with B-factories in the B/charm sector. In the first category we report the BR in B{sub s} J/[Psi] f0(980) decays and the time-integrated mixing probability ({bar {chi}}) of B mesons. In the second category BR and A{sub CP} in doubly Cabibbo-suppressed B{sup {+-}} D° h{sup {+-}} decays and time-integrated CP violation in D° → h+h− are presented.

While the Collider Detector at Fermilab (CDF) is starting a new data run, it is also finishing analyses based on the 100 pb−1 ''Run 1'' data sample collected between 1992 and 1996. In particular, the [Lambda]{sub b} lifetime has been measured using the exclusive decay channel [Lambda]{sub b} → J/[psi][Lambda]°. The B+ cross section, based upon the decay B+ → J/[psi]K+, has been finalized, as well as the ratio of inclusive b quark cross sections at √s = 630 GeV and 1800 GeV. Early results from the new data run with the displaced-track trigger, which shows great promise for b physics at CDF, are presented.
