This book presents some exceptional developments in chaotic attractor theory encompassing several new directions of research such as three-dimensional axiom A-diffeomorphisms, Shilnikov attractors, dendrites and finite graphs. The theory of chaotic attractors has experienced exceptional development over the last fifty years since the revelation of chaos in mathematics (invented by James Yorke) and symbolized by the “butterfly effect”. Relevant new results have been collected in this book, including: Some remarks on minimal sets on dendrites and finite graphs and the study of recurrence and nonwandering sets of local dendrite maps. Ramified continua as global attractors of C1- smooth self-maps of a cylinder close to skew products Chaotic behaviour of countable products of homeomorphism groups and dynamics of three-dimensional axiom A-diffeomorphisms with two-dimensional attractors and repellers. The search for invariant sets of the generalized tent map and quasi-hyperbolic regime in a certain family of 2-D piecewise linear map. Shilnikov attractors of three-dimensional flows and maps, right fractional calculus to inverse-time chaotic maps and asymptotic stability analysis and diffeomorphisms with infinitely many Smale horseshoes. The theory of chaotic attractor is also used as a core for evolutionary algorithms and metaheuristic optimizers in this volume. This book will be of great value to students and researchers in mathematics, physics, engineering, and related disciplines seeking to deepen their understanding of chaotic dynamical systems and their applications. The chapters in this book were originally published in Journal of Difference Equations and Applications.

Hyperbolic Chaos written by Sergey P. Kuznetsov and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-03-20 with Science categories.

"Hyperbolic Chaos: A Physicist’s View” presents recent progress on uniformly hyperbolic attractors in dynamical systems from a physical rather than mathematical perspective (e.g. the Plykin attractor, the Smale – Williams solenoid). The structurally stable attractors manifest strong stochastic properties, but are insensitive to variation of functions and parameters in the dynamical systems. Based on these characteristics of hyperbolic chaos, this monograph shows how to find hyperbolic chaotic attractors in physical systems and how to design a physical systems that possess hyperbolic chaos. This book is designed as a reference work for university professors and researchers in the fields of physics, mechanics, and engineering. Dr. Sergey P. Kuznetsov is a professor at the Department of Nonlinear Processes, Saratov State University, Russia.

New Advances On Chaotic Intermittency And Its Applications written by Sergio Elaskar and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-12-14 with Technology & Engineering categories.

One of the most important routes to chaos is the chaotic intermittency. However, there are many cases that do not agree with the classical theoretical predictions. In this book, an extended theory for intermittency in one-dimensional maps is presented. A new general methodology to evaluate the reinjection probability density function (RPD) is developed in Chapters 5 to 8. The key of this formulation is the introduction of a new function, called M(x), which is used to calculate the RPD function. The function M(x) depends on two integrals. This characteristic reduces the influence on the statistical fluctuations in the data series. Also, the function M(x) is easy to evaluate from the data series, even for a small number of numerical or experimental data. As a result, a more general form for the RPD is found; where the classical theory based on uniform reinjection is recovered as a particular case. The characteristic exponent traditionally used to characterize the intermittency type, is now a function depending on the whole map, not just on the local map. Also, a new analytical approach to obtain the RPD from the mathematical expression of the map is presented. In this way all cases of non standard intermittencies are included in the same frame work. This methodology is extended to evaluate the noisy reinjection probability density function (NRPD), the noisy probability of the laminar length and the noisy characteristic relation. This is an important difference with respect to the classical approach based on the Fokker-Plank equation or Renormalization Group theory, where the noise effect was usually considered just on the local Poincaré map. Finally, in Chapter 9, a new scheme to evaluate the RPD function using the Perron-Frobenius operator is developed. Along the book examples of applications are described, which have shown very good agreement with numerical computations.

Prices and quantities of both stock and flow variables in an economic system are decisively influenced by their spatial coordinates. Any equilibrium state also mirrors the underlying spatial structure and a tatonnement process also incorporates the spatial ramifications of consumer and producer behaviour. The recognition ofthe spatial element in the formation of a general equilibrium in a complex space-economy already dates back to early work of LOsch, Isard and Samuelson, but it reached a stage of maturity thanks to the new inroads made by T. Takayama. This book is devoted to spatial economic equilibrium (SPE) analysis and is meant to pay homage to the founding father of modern spatial economic thinking, Professor Takayama. This book witnesses his great talents in clear and rigorous economic thinking regarding an area where for decades many economists have been groping in the dark. Everybody who wants to study the phenomenon of spatial economic equilibrium will necessarily come across Takayama's work, but this necessity is at the same time a great pleasure. Studying his work means a personal scientific enrichment in a field which is still not completely explored. The present volume brings together recent contributions to spatial equilibrium analysis, written by friends and colleagues of Takayama. The structure of the book is based on four main uses of spatial equilibrium models: (i) the imbedding of spatial flows in the economic environment, related to e.g.
