"A timely and groundbreaking take on the roots of the Christian church and its place in the entirety of God's kingdom. . . . There is no better time than now to learn about and become firmly grounded within your spiritual heritage." —from the foreword by Perry Stone The early church was made up of Jewish and Gentile followers of Jesus, and the church's culture was rooted in Judaism and a Jewish understanding of God's relationship to His people. Over time, however, Christianity became increasingly more Roman than Jewish, and the church lost its identity. Rabbi Curt Landry's personal story is remarkably similar. Born to a Jewish mother and a Catholic father, Landry was put up for adoption, and for more than thirty years he had no understanding of his heritage, his roots, or who his parents were. But when he discovered the truth of his story, his life changed completely. The key to a life of power and purpose is understanding who you are. In this revelatory book, Curt Landry helps Christians discover their roots in Judaism, empowering them to walk in the revelation of who they really are and who they are born to be. Reclaiming Our Forgotten Heritage reveals the mysteries of the church, letting Christians grasp the power that comes from connecting with their true identity.

In Reclaiming the Forgotten Biblical Heritage, the author reveals how the Bible influences the seven spheres of our modern society: religion, family, government, economics, education, media, and human rights. He presents a past and current assessment of how the West has morally and spiritually departed from these because they have forsaken their biblical heritage. History proves that any nation that forgets God will lose its freedom. When that God-given freedom is lost, a tyrannical government is established with a religion of humanism that is diametrically opposed to biblical Christianity. This is what happened to Nazi Germany in the 1930s and to Russia in 1917. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn said that the Russian people lost their freedom simply because "men had forgotten God." By providing biblical teaching with historical documentation, Reclaiming the Forgotten Biblical Heritage challenges the reader to thoughtfully consider the culture in which we live. Christians are urged to preach the cross, pray for another Great Awakening, and to spiritually prepare for what could be one of the most challenging and exciting periods in world history. There is hope because "where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 5:20-21).

Contemporary agriculture is often criticized for its industrial scale, adverse effects on nutrition, rural employment and the environment, and its disconnectedness from nature and culture. Yet there are many examples of traditional smaller scale systems that have survived the test of time and provide more sustainable solutions while still maintaining food security in an era of climate change. This book provides a unique compilation of this forgotten agricultural heritage and is based on objective scientific evaluation and evidence of the value of these systems for present and future generations. The authors refer to many of these systems as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) and show how they are related to the concepts of heritage and the World Heritage Convention. They demonstrate how GIAHS based on family farms, traditional indigenous knowledge and agroecological principles can contribute to food and nutrition security and the maintenance of agro-biodiversity and environmental resilience, as well as sustain local cultures, economies and societies. Two substantial chapters are devoted to descriptions and assessments of some 50 examples of designated and potential GIAHS from around the world, including rice-fish culture in China, mountain terrace systems in Asia, coffee agroforestry in Latin America, irrigation systems and land and water management in Iran and India, pastoralism in East Africa, and the dehesa agrosilvopastoral system of Spain and Portugal. The book concludes by providing policy and technical solutions for sustainable agriculture and rural development through the enhancement of these systems.

Volume 1 of Reclaiming the Forgotten Biblical Heritage is a timely wake-up call to believers and a challenge to unbelievers searching for the truth behind the moral, spiritual, and economic decline of the West. The author reminds the West not to take for granted the rich biblical heritage of freedom that God has bestowed upon them, because when a people forget their heritage, they are easily persuaded to lose their identity. Regardless of what the future holds, we are urged to find our hope and trust in Jesus Christ, because, without His lordship in every sphere of our lives, even a democracy inevitably leads to tyranny.

How Jewish is Christianity? The question of how Jesus' followers relate to Judaism has been a matter of debate since Jesus first sparred with the Pharisees. The controversy has not abated, taking many forms over the centuries. In the decades following the Holocaust, scholars and theologians reconsidered the Jewish origins and character of Christianity, finding points of continuity. Understanding the Jewish Roots of Christianity advances this discussion by freshly reassessing the issues. Did Jesus intend to form a new religion? Did Paul abrogate the Jewish law? Does the New Testament condemn Judaism? How and when did Christianity split from Judaism? How should Jewish believers in Jesus relate to a largely gentile church? What meaning do the Jewish origins of Christianity have for theology and practice today? In this volume, a variety of leading scholars and theologians explore the relationship of Judaism and Christianity through biblical, historical, theological, and ecclesiological angles. This cutting-edge scholarship will enrich readers' understanding of this centuries-old debate.

Much of what forms the foundation of Western civilization-the family, economics, education, the media, culture, human rights, and all moral standards-directly stems from the Bible. In Volume II of Reclaiming the Forgotten Biblical Heritage, the author presents a past and current assessment of how the West has morally and spiritually departed from all these spheres of influence. History proves that any nation that forgets God will always lose its freedom.
