The required radiometric measurementsare quite involved, for they do not deal with the simpleoptics of a point source, but rather with an extendedsource that may or may not be altered by diffusers orprojection optics. Also, the wavelength distribution ofthe lamp may be altered by ancillary optical elementssuch as diffusers and lenses, as well as variations inoperating voltage.
