The purpose of the wilderness is about what God wants to do in our life. Ever since the fall recorded in Genesis, man has lost their identity, power and authority given to them by God. Without this power and authority, man will never be able to take dominion in this world. When our identity, power and authority have been restored, then He wants to prepare us for the work ahead. The reason why God brings us into the wilderness is to prepare each believer to be able to release their potential. Before we are able to be used by God mightily, He wants to change our character and filter out all the unnecessary things that we have learned in this world. It is a time where man has to learn how to be dependent upon God. This dependence starts in the wilderness where there is absolutely nothing. God wants all of us to put our total trust upon Him and that He will provide all the necessities that we need. God wants His people to experience the supernatural provision that He offers. This is especially true for people who desire to be future leaders in the Kingdom. This does not only refer to people in leadership but also people who live their life in the marketplace. People need to know and understand how God provides in their life and how He wants to use them in their field. In order for people to understand how God works, they need to be transformed through a season of testing. This season of testing is where God actually wants to build up our character. Our character needs to be changed to that of God. Without a character transformation, we will always reflect what we learn in the world. We need to get rid of everything that was attached to our life that doesnt reflect the characteristics of God. This is done in the wilderness because in the wilderness, since there is nothing, we cant help but rely on God. As we rely on God more, then the things that have been attached to our life will start to fall off. Everything that was attached has to come off. When everything comes off, then God will put His Words and traits upon our life. That is why character is so important. It reflects Gods traits. People never look at character as an important aspect in life. Character is often ignored or overlooked. However, to God, it is an important quality. When we are ultimately changed by God, then as we come out of our wilderness experience, we will come out with supernatural power to establish His Kingdom here on earth. Since we learn of His supernatural provision, we will also learn of His supernatural power. The whole process of the wilderness experience is receiving the anointing of God upon our life. With the anointing of God, we will be able to accomplish much. When the world says it takes talents and skill to accomplish much, to God it is all about the anointing. Our wilderness experience will release the anointing that is upon our life. The anointing is very crucial in a believers life. Just as Jesus was anointed to fulfill His purpose while on earth, we need to be anointed to fulfill the purpose of God in our life. This cant happen unless we are totally changed and dependent upon God. Everyone needs to go through their wilderness experience to receive the anointing of God.

This unique book offers a Catholic view of the Holy Land in the debate that rages among Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Alain Marchadour and David Neuhaus, two biblical scholars and priests living in Jerusalem, clearly analyze the Promised Land-as concept, history, and contested terrain-in Catholic teaching and doctrine. They offer an analytical reading of the entire Christian Bible (Old and New Testaments) with reference to the idea of the Land promised by God. They explore early and medieval attitudes, especially with regard to the Holy Places and the Jewish people. Moving carefully to the present day, they focus on anti-Semitism, the tragedy ofthe Shoah, Western colonialism in the Middle East, the creation of the State of Israel, and the birth of the Palestinian refugee problem as they examine Catholic reactions to the tumultuous events of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, particularly the renewal of Catholic thought in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council. Studying the most recent Church documents, Marchadour and Neuhaus confront the ongoing struggle for peace, justice, and reconciliation in the Middle East. This illuminating book is an essential tool for all those struggling to understand the links between the Bible, the Church, and contemporary Middle Eastern realities, especially in Israel and Palestine.

Many Christians and those desiring to become believers in Jesus Christ often live their lives in defeat, depression, self- condemnation, full of regret, fear and apprehension as to whether they can really be fully accepted, and made anew and alive in the Lord. Many know in theory they can and yet they lack the experience of the personal freedom that God in Christ offers. They believe God will bless others, but not themselves and yet so much of this occurs simply because of guilt and heartache from the sins of the past that we have perpetrated on others as well as have engaged in ourselves. In addition there are so many in life that have been victimized by the sins of others against them. Many are victims of the past where no sin has been committed, such as the death of a loved one. When all of these things occur in our past, how do we move on? How do we keep going in life? Is there really any escape from past experiences that torment our souls? Regarding sin, it is vital to know and find a way to experience how God promises in His Word that He chooses to forget our negative past and to help us through it also. Forgetting does not mean we no longer remember our past but instead God allows us to move beyond it and He takes the venom or poison out of the experiences that have so deeply hurt us. He promises to remember our sins no more. Nevertheless too many people do not know the promises of God in the Bible and as a result they suffer emotional pain needlessly and endlessly. Many have placed themselves in a spiritual prison of torment because of their own bondage to a negative past or because of the bondage others have placed them under due to terrible victimization. Yet the Bible tells us that we are cleansed and forgiven by what Jesus did for us through His shed blood on the cross at Calvary. God removes our sins as far as the east is to the west. He remembers our sins no more. He is willing to not only forgive but to take away the pain of past failures, defeats and the trauma and heartache that so often go along with them. He brings newness of life and rest to our souls. This book will teach you what the enemy, "Satan" does not want you to know, and that is that you can become a new creation in Jesus Christ and walk completely free of the self-condemnation or effects of condemnation from others, defeat, depression, worry, anxiety and hopelessness because of your past life. God has anointed and directed Apostle Mischa S. Safdie' to write this book because the Lord has an important message for you. God wants you to know, believe and experience the reality and joy that comes with the revelation knowledge that you really can "Escape from Your Past". God is not against you. He is on your side! His Words are healing and life to you.

Iconoclast David F. Noble traces the evolution and eclipse of the biblical mythology of the Promised Land, the foundational story of Western Culture. Part impassioned manifesto, part masterful survey of opposed philosophical and economic schools, Beyond the Promised Land brings into focus the twisted template of the Western imagination and its faith-based market economy. From the first recorded versions of ‘the promise’ saga in ancient Babylon, to the Zapatistas’ rejection of promises never kept, Noble explores the connections between Judeo-Christian belief and corporate globalization. Inspiration for activists and students alike.

Getting Past Your Past is the antidote to the kind of regret that can stall us spiritually and bind us up in emotional pain. Susan Wilkinson lights a clear path out of this prison with six steps, including understanding and truly embracing grace; learning to forego secrets and live authentically; and grieving old dreams and dreaming new ones. This wise, heartfelt book offers strong spiritual and emotional resolution of regret by focusing on the sovereignty and unmerited kindness of God, who alone can restore the peace we've sometimes lost.
