No cabe duda de que el sistema de salud colombiano necesita una reforma. Pero la propuesta del gobierno Petro significa un cambio de fondo al sistema actual, lo cual obliga a hacer un análisis de riesgos y beneficios que permita tener mayor claridad sobre el camino a seguir. En este libro analizo cinco razones por las cuales la propuesta del gobierno no va a resolver los problemas que pretende resolver. Estas razones son: 1) la concepción del derecho a la salud como fundamental autónomo; 2) la forma como se organizan los servicios de atención curativa; 3) las capacidades de las entidades territoriales; 4) las herramientas para hacer que los recursos del sector no se agoten a mitad de camino; y 5) la dificultad para cerrar las brechas materia de equidad más allá de lo que puede lograr el sector salud. Espero contribuir al debate con estos planteamientos, y generar un espacio de discusión que nos permita tener un mejor sistema de salud para todos.
