Zum Ausdruck der epistemischen Sprechereinstellung dienen vor allem die Modalverben aber auch andere lexikalische Mittel der Modalität. Zu diesen Ausdrücken gehören unbestritten auch usualisierte präpositionale Wortverbindungen, (auch Präposition-Nomen-Verbindungen genannt), die im Fokus dieser Arbeit stehen. Die Forschung fokussiert die präpositionalen Wortverbindungen mit rekurrenter Nullstelle in der epistemischen Bedeutung der Sprechereinstellung (mit Sicherheit, ohne Zweifel, mit Abstand, ohne Frage, außer Zweifel, ohne Zweifel). Dieser Typ der binären präpositionalen Wortverbindungen wird bisher in der Phraseologie erst in der letzten Zeit reflektiert, im Bereich der Modalität jedoch kaum berücksichtigt. Es handelt sich um binäre verfestigte Wortverbindungen mit Lexemstatus. Ihre formalen und semantischen Eigenschaften lassen sich auf Grund der Kollokate in typischen Kontexten feststellen. Die korpusbasierte Untersuchung ist deshalb die methodologische Grundlage in der Arbeit. Die kontrastive Analyse mit dem Slowakischen bildet auch einen Teil der Arbeit. Das Thema bietet somit ein Novum auf dem Gebiet der systematischen Linguistik und Computerlinguistik an, denn sie verbindet die (klassische) Untersuchung der lexikalischen Ausdrücke der Modalität mit den neuesten Forschungen der usuellen und festen Wortverbindungen, die in der Linguistik erst in den letzten 20 Jahren präsent sind.

Historical dialogue analysis is a new branch of historical pragmatics.
