Her friends were in New York, the ones whom she had grewed up with, and how can she make friends in this town called "Hudson," would they eventually accept her, as being deaf? She felt that she didn't have to prove anything to anyone. Although, while living in New York, her friends accepted her as she was, hearing aide and all. But will they accept her in this town called, "Hudson"? Carolyn wore a hearing aide and she spoke as well as she can read a person lips to know what they were saying, but she felt alone.
