We all hurt. We've all lost. Every one of us struggles. God is always there for us, waiting for us to come to him. He wants the personal relationship - not the rituals. Every time God destroyed Israel, he left a remnant. It was the remnant that repented and came back to God. It was the remnant that praised Him for his power and His glory and His grace. So often, we don't reach out until we're broken, as the remnants were broken. However, once we are broken, we come to God, and He is there, waiting for those He calls His with arms wide open. If you are a follower of Christ, I pray that this book gives you hope and encourangement, through the hard times. If you are not yet a follower, I pray that this book will help in breaking your heart so that He can mend it.

The Remnants written by Reinhold J.E. Lohsen and has been published by FriesenPress this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-10-17 with History categories.

The Remnants tells how Jewish composer and Shoah (Holocaust) survivor A. Peter Gary was captured by the Nazis at age seventeen and incarcerated in three concentration camps during WWII. As well, it tells the touching story of Peter’s friendship with two former members of the Hitler Youth, all in their late eighties. Friends with all three, the author project-managed the Première of Peter’s Oratorio, A 20th Century Passion, performed in Israel by a world renowned conductor, the crowning achievement of Peter’s early years of suffering under the Nazi Dictatorship. A dramatic reading of his Libretto about the Shoah was performed by graduating students at several high schools. The book also argues for an alternative view of Judas’s role in history in line with a number of scholars and theologians. It delves into biblical translation problems and Christianity’s burying of its Jewish roots, always with a hope for a Judeo Christian reconciliation.

Hope for spiritual refugees, church burnouts, and freedom seekers. After years of participating in a comfortable faith tradition, many find themselves in a spiritual wilderness, feeling disillusioned with church, longing for more freedom and less religion in their lives. If that describes you, you’re in good company. Countless men and women are in the middle of a shifting faith—and aren’t sure where to turn. But losing beliefs doesn’t mean you have to lose your faith. Pastor, friend, and spiritual director Kathy Escobar has journeyed with many who have experienced significant shifts in the faith they once considered unchangeable. Through their stories and her own, Kathy has discovered that growth and change are natural parts of life in our relationship with God. Filled with honest stories and practical insights, Faith Shift gives language to what many experience as their faith evolves. With an inviting blend of vulnerability and hope, it addresses the losses that come with spiritual shifts and offers tangible practices for rebuilding a free and authentic faith after it unravels. Includes personal reflection and group discussion questions at the end of each chapter.
