What is the complete essence of this book? The Cosmic Harmony of Science, Scripture, and Reason. Can it be indubitably proven that God absolutely exists? Can it really be shown how science actually confirms creation by God? Given that some say not even God can create something out of nothing, exactly how did God create everything in the universe? Just how can the Holy Bible be reliable and the divine Word of God when it is challenged with so much controversy? Can it be irrefutably verified that Jesus was for real, really rose from the dead, and is the Son of God? Did the Great Flood of Noah and his Ark really happen? How? Everybody wants to see proof. Atheists and skeptics often demand it. A total of twenty-one of the most often asked and difficult questions challenging Christianity are answered by coauthors C. J. Rysen, (author of the Christian apocalyptic thriller, a novel, In the Course of Three Hours (www.inthecourseofthreehours.com)), and Dan Manternach, a public speaker and leader in the Christian Group, Ministry to Men (www.ministrytomen.net). Both men have collaborated to provide irrefutable answers and explanations in a simple, easy-to-understand, straightforward way, providing new, unexpected, and intriguing perspectives to which you likely may have never given any thought. Many of these will be surprising and often startling to anyone--whether skeptic, agnostic, or atheist. The book is also intended to be a reference source for the layperson, as well as those with formal theological or philosophical education. Although this book is intended to address these questions for the benefit of the "nonbeliever," it also is intended to prepare the believer to help answer such questions and solidify their faith. If one is intellectually honest with oneself, the explanations in this book should be overwhelmingly compelling and absolutely convincing. If they are not, one must ask the question, "Why?"

Followers of Jesus need not fear hard questions or objections against Christian belief. In A Reasonable Response, renowned Christian philosopher and apologist William Lane Craig offers dozens of examples of how some of the most common challenges to Christian thought can be addressed, including: Why does God allow evil? How can I be sure God exists? Why should I believe that the Bible is trustworthy? How does modern science relate to the Christian worldview? What evidence do we have that Jesus rose from the dead? Utilizing real questions submitted to his popular website ReasonableFaith.org, Dr. Craig models well-reasoned, skillful, and biblically informed interaction with his inquirers. A Reasonable Response goes beyond merely talking about apologetics; it shows it in action. With cowriter Joseph E. Gorra, this book also offers advice about envisioning and practicing the ministry of answering people’s questions through the local church, workplace, and in online environments. Whether you're struggling to respond to tough objections or looking for answers to your own intellectual questions, A Reasonable Response will equip you with sound reasoning and biblical truth.

The 40 Day ChallengeWeb Excerpt: Introduction to this Book: You may ask why I chose the topic, A 40 day Challenge. Why did you not select a devotional book on the traditional 365 day scale? Or you may ask why not, a 2 week trial or a 30 day trial.why 40 days? The bible is full of examples of 40 days as anointed time with God. Lets take a look at some of these examples. To start with I am going to list for you all of the examples of 40 days, 40 weeks, 40 months and 40 years that I could find in the bible. Then I will explain to you why the Lord made 40 days so important to me. 40 days: 1) Ezekiel fasted for 40 days. The Lord told him to lie on his left side 1 day for each year that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord. 2) Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness and was tempted of Satan prior to starting his ministry 3) It rained upon the earth 40 days when Noah and his family went into the Ark. 4) The Egyptians embalmed Joseph and the people mourned 40 days as per their custom for him. 5) Moses in Exodus went up on the mount and was before the Lord 40 days and the Lord gave him the laws and commandments. 6) The 12 spies checked out the land for 40 days then brought Moses their report. 7) Moses went back upon the mount for another 40 days of prayer and fasting in Deut. 8) Goliath presented himself morning & evening for 40 days before the children of Israel tempting them to send a man to fight him. 9) In I Kings the prophet rose, eat and drank and went 40 days on the strength of that meal unto Horeb the Mount of God. 10) Ezekiel lay for 40 days on his left side as penance for the 40 years of iniquity of the children of Israel. 11) Jonah preached, Yet 40 days and I will destroy this city, saith the Lord. 12) Jesus was on earth 40 days after his resurrection from the dead before he ascended to heaven. 40 weeks: 1) The normal delivery time of a baby. The mother carries the baby an average of 36-40 weeks. That is 9 months give or take two weeks as most doctors figure it. 2) 40 weeks stood for new life, new birth in the Old Testament 3) Old Testament Prophecy refers to 40 weeks. This is future translated into generations. 40 months: 1) Each time that the Lord send a word of warning to the children of Israel to clean up their ways, turn from their idols and return to Bethel, he gave them 40 months of words from the prophets and challenges to change, then when they did not turn their hearts toward God, he sent them into captivity. 2) 40 months is the probationary period of God. 40 years: 1) Moses was 40 years old when he killed the Egyptian and fled to the wilderness. 2) Moses remained for 40 years in the wilderness before he returned to Egypt to lead the children of Israel out of bondage. He was 80 years old. 3) The children of Israel wondered around in the wilderness, then came to Jordan and refused to cross over. Their faith was weak. God sent them back into the wilderness to ramble some more. For a total of 40 years they wandered in the wilderness. Then God took Moses on his 120 birthday. Because their faith was so weakthey were sent back out to wander another 40 years and that generation was not allowed to see the promise land. 4) After wandering around for a 40 year period in the wilderness, then Joshua led the Children of Israel across Jordan and took Jericho. 5) Isaac was 40 years old when he took Rebekah to wife 6) Esau was 40 years old when he took the Hittite to wife 7) Joshua was 40 years old when Moses assigned him to go into Jericho as a spy 8) 40 years later, Joshua led the children of Israel into Jericho 9) In Judges the land had rest 40 years 10) Also in Judges the land was in quite for 40 years---peace. 11) When the children of Israel did not obey God in Judges, he delivered them up to the Philistines control for 40 years 12) Samuel judged Israel forty years 13) Sauls son was 40 years old when he be

When God Does Not Answer An Honest Prayer written by Daniel Jappah and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-07-30 with categories.

For Christians who don't care much about a church life, a prayer life, or even reading the Bible, when they encounter life's crises, turn to prayer, and find no answers, they can always find a ton of reasons to explain away why their prayers were not answered. Maybe I waited for a crisis in order to pray. Maybe God wants me to always depend on Him. Maybe I did not pray long enough. Maybe I started to pray too late. Maybe I prayed and then still worried about it. Maybe I prayed but really didn't believe my prayer would be answered. Maybe...Maybe...Maybe... The casual Christian can easily justify why a prayer may not be answered. . For Christians who have a very strong prayer, when such individuals face those life-and-death situations and pray to God from the depths of their hearts and their prayers go unanswered, unanswered prayers can lead to crises of faith, forcing these believers to ask questions they may have taken for granted, questions such as: 1. Is there really God? 2. Does God really answer prayers or do I just pray to make myself feel good? 3. Why did God not answer my honest prayer? 4. Why should I continue to pray when I've cried out to God from the depths of my heart and God did not answer my prayer? These can be very difficult questions about God, especially when they arise out of a situation in which your faith seems to have apparently not been affirmed. God did not turn out to be what you expected God to be. The spiritual doubt that follows is the most difficult kind of doubt to overcome. Frankly, there is not a greater challenge to faith than when, contrary to James 5:16, the fervent prayer seems to be of no avail. How does a Christian deal with God, faith, and prayer when, in the midst of a life-crushing situation, an honest prayer goes unanswered? When prayer fails, why still believe in God? Why continue to pray? If you want honest answers, this book is for you.

Defeating The Evil God Challenge written by Jack Symes and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-05-16 with Philosophy categories.

The evil-god challenge is one of the most popular topics in contemporary philosophy of religion. In this landmark text, Jack Symes offers the most detailed examination of the challenge to date. Exploring the nature of god through the leading schools of philosophical theology, Symes argues that it is significantly more reasonable to attribute goodness to god than evil. Drawing from a breadth of ground-breaking material – in metaphysics, ethics, aesthetics and epistemology – Symes claims to defeat the evil-god challenge on behalf of traditional theism. Is it any more reasonable to believe in a good god than an evil god? Not according to proponents of the evil-god challenge. After all, the world contains a significant amount of good and evil for which either god could be held responsible. However, if belief in both gods is equally as reasonable, then religious believers are unjustified in favouring one hypothesis over the other. Therefore, in order to defend their faith, theists must respond to the evil-god challenge: the question of what justifies belief in good god over evil god.
