Storm clouds are on the horizon and are hovering over the Judeo-Christian community. Returning to God’s Word is our only hope for these troubled times. On the cusp of these changing times, a remnant is being identified and “called out” by the Holy Spirit to return to the foundational roots of Christianity. The First Century Church of Jesus’ Apostles was vastly different from the church of today. Their foundational strength was built upon the Rock of Jesus Christ and was founded upon the Biblical (Hebrew/Jewish) customs of Jesus Christ and His disciples. This book is a basic handbook—a “101 Primer”—for reconciliation and restoration. Its exposure to the rich Hebraic customs and traditions of Jesus’ day will bring a refreshing breath to traditional Christianity. It’s a call to return to “the faith once delivered to the saints,” to prepare for eternity in God’s city, the New Jerusalem.

Biblical symbols were designed by God and by his people Israel to emphasize divine truths and to call believers to remembrance of responsibilities to worship and honor their Creator. Unfortunately, most Christians have been robbed of this insight by the historical church's separation from the Jewish people. Restoring Christianity's Hebraic foundations is essential for equipping believers with enriched understanding of the roots of their faith. Recognizing the historical and spiritual truths represented by the symbols of the Hebrew Scriptures is a profound means of underscoring the truth of Christianity's Jewish connection. Living Emblems: Ancient Symbols of Faith presents these vivid images of a rich biblically Hebraic tradition: The Shofar: A Trumpet in Zion; The Menorah: God's Lamp, Man's Light; The Mezuzah: A Sign at the Door; The Kiddush Cup: The Cup of Blessing. You'll be enriched as Living Emblems deeps your understanding of Jesus by revealing profound truths about his life and ministry through the powerful images reflected in the ancient symbols of biblical faith.

Protestant evangelical Christian schools are the fastest-growing segment of American private school education. Despite their notable individual autonomy, these schools have retained a consistent belief system and mission over several decades. Private religious schools can be traced to our nation's earliest origins. Why is it that these unique educational institutions arose in twentieth-century America and have continued to thrive? A Christian America Restored seeks to delve into the beginnings of private Christian schools and discovers that while they are relatively new on the educational landscape of America, their roots are actually quite deep, connecting with the ongoing dreams of our nation's conservative evangelicals.

A Strictly Biblical Perspective Ministries Inc. has strategically designed a biblical cognitive character-based training curriculum. It is designed to equip pastors, chaplains, and faith-based instructors with insight for preparing reentry volunteers as mentors to be matched with returning citizens upon their release from prison or while incarcerated. The curriculum is designed with six modules to assist faith-based volunteers in developing a biblical perspective into God's fourfold purpose for their lives: relationships, character development, service, and reproduction. The fifth module is designed to address the spiritual warfare that ministry leaders and faith-based volunteers will encounter in mentoring the "returning citizen population." The final module is designed to assist ministry leaders and faith-based volunteers in understanding how to assist returning citizens in overcoming the effects of alcohol and drug addiction. This course will build the capacity of members within the faith-based community to minister to returning citizens in restoration from crime and addiction. The curriculum is designed to enhance the quality of care to the "ex offender population" by producing spiritually mature mentors walking in close fellowship with God. The curriculum is extremely comprehensive and highly interactive and will assist volunteers in developing a functional understanding of their roles in mentoring returning citizens through the use of scriptures, a series of individual and small group exercises.

'Restoring the First-century Church in the Twenty-first Century: Essays on the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement in Honor of Don Haymes' is a snap-shot of a major American religious movement just after the turn of the millennium. When the ÒDisciplesÓ of Alexander Campbell and the ÒChristiansÓ of Barton Warren Stone joined forces early in the 19th century, the first indigenous ecumenical movement in the United States came into being. Two hundred years later, this American experiment in biblical primitivism has resulted in three, possibly four, large segments. Best known is the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), active wherever ecumenical Christians gather. The denomination is typically theologically open, having been reshaped by theological Liberalism and the Social Gospel in the twentieth century, and has been re-organized on the model of other Protestant bodies. The largest group, the Churches of Christ, easily distinguished by their insistence on 'a cappella' music (singing only), is theologically conservative, now tending towards the evangelical, and congregationally autonomous, though with a denominational sense of brotherhood. The Christian Churches/Churches of Christ (Independent) are a 'via media' between the two other bodies: theologically conservative and evangelical, congregationally autonomous, pastorally oriented, and comfortable with instrumental music. The fourth numerically significant group, the churches of Christ (Anti-Institutional), is a conservative reaction to the 'a cappella' churches, much in the way that the Southern ''a capella' churches reacted against the emerging intellectual culture and social location, instrumental music and institutional centrism of the Northern Disciples following the Civil War. Besides these four, numerous smaller fragments, typically one-article splinter groups, decorate the history of the Restoration Movement: One-Cup brethren, Premillennialists, No-Sunday-School congregations, No-Located-Preacher churches, and others. This movement to unite Christians on the basis of faith and immersion in Jesus Christ, and to restore New-Testament Christianity, is too little recognized on the American religious landscape, and it has been too little studied by the academic community. This volume is focused primarily on the 'a cappella' churches and their interests, but implications for the entire Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement abound. The voices that speak freely within were unimpeded in authoring these essays by standards of orthodoxy imposed from without. All of the contributors are acquainted with Don Haymes, the honoree of the volume, and have been inspired by this friend and colleague, a man with a rigorous and earthy intellect and a heavenly spirit. David Bundy, series editor Studies in the History and Culture of World Christianities

Our Godly Sexual Beings explores scripture and other ancient texts to unveil one of humanity's great mysteries--God's purpose for designing our Godly sexual beings. After thirty years of committed research and study, Donna Mack perceived an essential missing link from the age-old battle of God vs. Satan. While other books have attempted to discuss human sexuality, none have done so with as many biblical and scholarly-backed references as Our Godly Sexual Beings. One fascinating revelation in scripture is just how sacred human sexuality exists for God. The Bible sings with this truth, and Donna dives into this mystery to reveal the greatest love story ever told! With the help of over 1,300 references, Donna uncovers God's design for sex and Satan's influence that morphed this gift into a lie of lust. This book is full of many revelations and truths that will allow the reader to experience freedom from sexual sin, shame, and bondage.
