This book provides extended frameworks and models to help with the adoption of information and communication technologies (ICT) in developing countries. The book first discusses the extent to which conventional ICT theories can be rigid in nature, often unable to handle the constant advances in technology, and technology adoption, implementation, usage, and disposal, not to mention different needs and cost availability in developing countries. The authors go on to show how new and revised models, tested in many societies in developing countries, can solve this mismatch. The authors provide examples of successful ICT adoption in developing country settings, in the areas of agriculture, culture, forestry, education, economics, health, and governance. The authors also show how techniques from persuasive design, philosophical designs, and motivational designs have been adjusted to facilitate successful ICT adoption, implementation, usage, and disposal in targeted regions.

The Right Not To Use The Internet written by Dariusz Kloza and has been published by Taylor & Francis this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-04-24 with Political Science categories.
This pioneering collection addresses the prospective fundamental/human right not to use the Internet and the challenges that the non- use of the Internet poses for democracy. As the Internet has increasingly ceased to be a mere option and rather turned into a de facto obligation for anyone who exercises their rights or fulfils duties, these developments bring about profound ramifications for the very existence and the functioning of democracy, and therefore merit a critical reflection. With contributors from academia and legal practice from all over Europe, this edited volume offers timely critical analysis of the right not to use of the Internet, at times supplemented with policy advice and postulates for law reform. This book is of key interest to scholars and students of – predominantly – law, political science and philosophy as well as to policymakers, judges and nongovernmental organisations at national, supranational and international levels. This book discusses the impact of information and communication technologies (ICTs) on organizations and on society as a whole. Specifically, it examines how such technologies improve our life and work, making them more inclusive through smart enterprises. The book focuses on how actors understand Industry 4.0 as well as the potential of ICTs to support organizational and societal activities, and how they adopt and adapt these technologies to achieve their goals. Gathering papers from various areas of organizational strategy, such as new business models, competitive strategies and knowledge management, the book covers a number of topics, including how innovative technologies improve the life of the individuals, organizations, and societies; how social media can drive fundamental business changes, as their innovative nature allows for interactive communication between customers and businesses; and how developing countries can use these technologies in an innovative way. It also explores the impact of organizations on society through sustainable development and social responsibility, and how ICTs use social media networks in the process of value co-creation, addressing these issues from both private and public sector perspectives and on national and international levels, mainly in the context of technology innovations.

Law Technology And Dispute Resolution written by Riikka Koulu and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-09-24 with Business & Economics categories.
The use of new information and communication technologies both inside the courts and in private online dispute resolution services is quickly changing everyday conflict management. However, the implications of the increasingly disruptive role of technology in dispute resolution remain largely undiscussed. In this book, assistant professor of law and digitalisation Riikka Koulu examines the multifaceted phenomenon of dispute resolution technology, focusing specifically on private enforcement, which modern technology enables on an unforeseen scale. The increase in private enforcement confounds legal structures and challenges the nation-state’s monopoly on violence. And, in this respect, the author argues that the technology-driven privatisation of enforcement – from direct enforcement of e-commerce platforms to self-executing smart contracts in the blockchain – brings the ethics of law’s coercive nature out into the open. This development constitutes a new, and dangerous, grey area of conflict management, which calls for transparency and public debate on the ethical implications of dispute resolution technology.
