Do you hunger for revival in your family? In your church? City? Nation? Do you long for a fresh move of God in your own life? If so, you are ready for a revival borne from the very words of Scripture. Biblical revival is exactly what Pastor Vernon C. Lyons offers throughout the pages of The Revivals in the Bible. According to Lyons, Christians have resorted to polls, market research, and surveys on how to conduct successful revivals for far too long. In our zeal we seem to have forgotten that old Book, the Bible, in which God's ordained revivals are recorded. And for the first time, twenty biblical revivals, their characteristics and attributes, are contained in one book, The Revivals in the Bible. You will find out: * What sparked the revivals in the Bible * Who God used to kindle revivals in families, churches, cities, and nations * What stirs God to ignite a revival Vernon C. Lyons, pastor, author and patriarch, has served Chicago's Ashburn Baptist Church since 1951. Under his leadership, Ashburn Baptist has founded thirty-eight other churches in the United States.

The Great Revival written by John B. Boles and has been published by University Press of Kentucky this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-14 with Religion categories.

Drawing upon the religious writings of southern evangelicals, John Boles asserts that the extraordinary crowds and miraculous transformations that distinguished the South's First Great Awakening were not simply instances of emotional excess but the expression of widespread and complex attitudes toward God. Converted southerners were starkly individualistic, interested more in gaining personal salvation in a hopelessly evil world than in improving society. As Boles shows in this landmark study, the effect of the Revival was to throw over the region a conservative cast that remains dominant in contemporary southern thought and life.

In these last days, the Christian Faith has fallen into apostasy as it is rightly written in 1 Timothy 4:1-2(NIV), The Spirit clearly says in the later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. We all await a Christian revival but before true revival comes, there must first be a rebirth of learning. This book is a body of living words that make up flames of revival; it is the re -awakening of the Christian Faith. It will enlighten your understanding of God's mind and will. Therefore pay full attention to its contents (Proverbs 4:20, NIV) because understanding it will give you real understanding of the Christian Faith. If you understand this book then the Bible will become plain to you because it is its language. The Spirit of Revival is written to make all the mysteries of the Bible (including the mysteries of the Garden of Eden, the nature of Faith, the concept of sin, and the miracle of baptism) plain and simple to you. These words are not his, but those of Christ. They are spirits ( life) and seven times pure: When there is a need for revival, and the spirit of meditation falls on a man he does not just start preaching (or teaching), but the Spirit raises his understanding of the Truth, it may take years for him to be ready, that is why there is a period in the life of Christ that is not mentioned in the gospels but it is summarized as, ""And Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature, and in the favor of the Lord and man"" (Luke 2:52, NIV). And when such a man has become perfect in wisdom and judgments such that he walk not by sight nor reprove after his hearing because he can discern between spirits (wisdoms), he is presented to man for the glory of the Spirit that leads him. The words in this book are sure and greater than all insights. Pastor Ewang Nelson Mfortaw is a young Cameroonian who believes in the glory of revival because of what he has learnt from the Spirit of Christ who lives in us. He was born in August 1982, and presently lives in Douala (Cameroon).
