'The Green Revolution' has already started during the year 2009. However, this book which was first published on Lulu during 2010 has not been altered, apart from the dedication to the 'Sea Shepherd' crew which has affected the author a great deal. The Green Revolution, however, has its roots in the Divine Revolution which calls for the transformation of mankind's consciousness towards a higher lever of evolution. The Green Revolution hence is subjected to divine law. The cry for the healing of planet earth is issued by a romantic humble poet; by an altruist whom returned to selflessness during his two decades of excruciating pain in the spiritual desert of mankind. His love and dedication for the blue planet makes the reader ask the following questions: 'What can I do today in order to save the environment? How can I help to save the earth from destruction?' The moralist is constantly occupied by the concern for our planet. Therefore this book appears as a guide for all moralists. The author speaks about the point of no return in regard to deforestation. Moreover, his concern in regard to the extinction of wildlife is expressed through the analogy to the extinction of moral virtue within mankind. When the author calls for a rebellion against consumerism there is a connection between mankind's hideous gluttony and the destruction of our planet. The sensitive ecosystem is afflicted by every careless thing we do on earth. Therefore the Green Revolution can only succeed after the success of the Divine Revolution. Awareness hence is the key for the salvation of mankind. In all of his revolutionary books the author beseeches mankind to return to moral virtue before it is too late. For the danger of self destruction begins with the conscience and conscious of collective mankind. The Green Revolution elaborates on how we can really save the earth. According to it we first need to save ourselves from our own destructive nature as a collective general mass of humankind. The danger in not obvious, the danger is unseen, yet it begins with human nature. The Green Revolution is associated with the metaphysical reality of mankind. The general examples in this book ushers the reader towards the core of the truth. The reason of our life on planet earth is expressed through the Green Revolution. Planet earth is our home. The Green Revolution is a cry to protect our home and to save it from self destruction before it is too late. Despite his endless warnings and despite his keen awareness it should be mentioned here that the author is an optimist in regard to the future of the earth. Moreover, the author considers himself as a metaphysical realist as his quest and faith in life are built on the foundations of love and peace. Anyone can join the Green Revolution, all it demands is love and care towards planet earth, combined with simple acts of rebellion. The chief message of the Green Revolution is to resist, fight, and overcome the corruption of the human spirit.

Over the past two million years that human species have inhabited the Planet Earth they have distinguished themselves by their ability to make and do things creatively to ensure their survival. From the beginning, therefore, they have been defined by their technology, and the history of technology is the history of the species. For most of this period, the development of human technical skills has been extremely slow and repetitive, limited to basic tools and weapons and the ability to control fire. The utilization of animal power and the invention of the means of harnessing the power of wind and falling water added gradually to their technical skills, but it was the discovery of ways of using power from heat engines a mere three hundred years ago that accelerated this process into a prodigious expansion of technical power that fundamentally transformed human societies . It is this development which deserves to be to be called The Engineering Revolution and provides the primary focus of this book.

The Earth that sustains us today was born out of a few remarkable, near-catastrophic revolutions, started by biological innovations and marked by global environmental consequences. The revolutions have certain features in common, such as an increase in complexity, energy utilization, and information processing by life. This book describes these revolutions, showing the fundamental interdependence of the evolution of life and its non-living environment. We would not exist unless these upheavals had led eventually to 'successful' outcomes - meaning that after each one, at length, a new stable world emerged. The current planet-reshaping activities of our species may be the start of another great Earth system revolution, but there is no guarantee that this one will be successful. The book explains what a successful transition through it might look like, if we are wise enough to steer such a course. This book places humanity in context as part of the Earth system, using a new scientific synthesis to illustrate our debt to the deep past and our potential for the future.

This is an outstanding overview of the history of the Earth from a unique planetary perspective for introductory courses in the earth sciences. The book approaches Earth history as an evolution, encompassing the origin of the cosmos through the inner working of living cells. Earth: Evolution of a Habitable Planet tells how the Earth has come to its present state, why it differs from its neighboring planets, what life's place is in Earth's history, and how humanity affects the processes that make our planet livable. Today's human influences are contemplated in the context of natural changes on Earth. This book brings a fresh perspective to the study of the Earth for students who wish to learn how our planet evolved to its present form.

Four Revolutions In The Earth Sciences written by James Lawrence Powell and has been published by Columbia University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-12-23 with Science categories.

Over the course of the twentieth century, scientists came to accept four counterintuitive yet fundamental facts about the Earth: deep time, continental drift, meteorite impact, and global warming. When first suggested, each proposition violated scientific orthodoxy and was quickly denounced as scientific—and sometimes religious—heresy. Nevertheless, after decades of rejection, scientists came to accept each theory. The stories behind these four discoveries reflect more than the fascinating push and pull of scientific work. They reveal the provocative nature of science and how it raises profound and sometimes uncomfortable truths as it advances. For example, counter to common sense, the Earth and the solar system are older than all of human existence; the interactions among the moving plates and the continents they carry account for nearly all of the Earth's surface features; and nearly every important feature of our solar system results from the chance collision of objects in space. Most surprising of all, we humans have altered the climate of an entire planet and now threaten the future of civilization. This absorbing scientific history is the only book to describe the evolution of these four ideas from heresy to truth, showing how science works in practice and how it inevitably corrects the mistakes of its practitioners. Scientists can be wrong, but they do not stay wrong. In the process, astonishing ideas are born, tested, and over time take root.
