Excerpt from Revue de l'Hypnotisme Et de la Psychologie Physiologique: Psychologie Pedagogie Medecine Legale Maladies Mentales Et Nerveuses En presence du succes de cet enseignement, M. le Dr Berillon dut transferer ses services de sa clinique au no 49 do la rue Saint-Andre-des-Arts, dans l'hotel qu'elle occupe aujourd'hui. Insensiblement, le programme primitif s'elargit et, sous le titre d'Institut Psycho-physiologique de Paris, la clinique devient a la fois une veritable ecole pratique do psychotherapie et un laboratoire de psychologie. D'eminents collaborateurs viennent partager la tache du docteur Berillon, et en janvier 1892 commence la premiere serie de conferences. Elles etaient faites par MM. les Drs Berillon, Collineau, Armand B. Paulier, Saint-Hilaire et Oscar Jennings. Depuis lors, chaque annee fut marquee par un progres sensible. Un corps de professeurs se constitue. Les conferences de MM. Dumontpallier, Berillon, Max Nordau, P. Valentin, Collineau, Caustier, Armand B. Paulier, Henri Lemesle, Hartenberg, Gaube (du Gers), Maurice Dupont, Paul Farez, attirent un auditoire nombreux. Bien mieux, un cours annexe de l'Institut, professe par M. le Dr Paul Joire, est inaugure a Lille en 1894. Aux professeurs viennent se joindre un groupe de chefs de travaux, de preparateurs et d'assistants zeles. Les divers services ont ete l'objet de perfectionnements successifs. Au dispensaire neurologique et pedagogique qui avait constitue tout d'abord le fondement de l'institution, sont venus se joindre le laboratoire de psychologie, la bibliotheque, le musee. L'outillage experimental comprend deja un grand nombre d'appareils, utiles pour les recherches psychologiques et pour l'enseignement de l'anatomie du cerveau. L'organisation du musee de psychologie a ete inspiree a la fois par l'idee qui a preside a la creation du musee psychologique du professeur Mantegazza, a Florence, et a celle du musee de psychiatrie criminologique du professeur Lombroso, a Turin. Ce musee, commence en 1894, est destine, en principe, a recueillir tous les documents relatifs a l'histoire du magnetisme, de l'hypnotisme et de la psychologie.
