Marino Giannuzzo fa parte dei poeti che affidano alle parole il messaggio che vien dalle “cose e sensazioni” esperite nella vita quotidiana. Non si fa illusioni, è consapevole che i versi “...non danno pane a chi di pane ha fame.” Così come è consapevole che la libertà, svincolata dai vari “Credo” comunque camuffati, si paga con la forzata esclusione, con l’essere messi da parte, per cui i versi “non danno fama a chi poeta è in vita”. Ed allora a che serve la poesia? E’ la dote che rende l’uomo più uomo. E quindi è vero che ogni uomo è poeta, anche chi versi non scrive. Nella poesia è il sentimento, retaggio che ogni uomo eredita fin dal primo respiro che si manifesta con il vagito e poi nel pianto. E come liberamente si eredita il sentimento, libera sia la poesia, portatrice di gioia o di dolore, di pace o struggimento, di messaggio universale o di singolo vissuto..., mai serva del dio denaro! Ed è per questo che la poesia di Marino è penetrante, stupenda, grande.

Constantin Noica's (1909-1987) Pray for Brother Alexander is a meditation on responsibility, freedom, and forgiveness. On the surface, the book describes events and people from Noica's life during his time in a political communist prison in Romania. However, the volume is not a historical account only, but rather an honest introspection into how a human being may keep sanity when everything around him makes no sense. Unlike his famous Romanian contemporaries, scholar Mircea Eliade, dramatist Eugen Ionescu, and philosopher Emil Cioran, who lived abroad, Constantin Noica did not leave communist Romania. Considered an "anti-revolutionary" thinker, Noica was placed under house arrest in Câmpulung-Muscel between 1949 and 1958. In 1958, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. In his writings, Noica rekindles universal themes of philosophy, but he deals with them in a profoundly original manner, based on the culture in which he lived and for which he even suffered persecution.
