The Crown is a historical fiction written in memory of a students riot that actually took place in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in 1987. The Crown portrays the story of two major characters, the principal and a teacher, who try to do their assigned roles to the best of their ability, but despite their struggles and successes, they will realize that certain responsibilities such as theirs can be full of trouble and danger. The Robe is the story of Brian, who from birth had been designated to be a celibate priest. As he matures into manhood, he questions his role, and he realizes that he would want marriage and a family. His individual attempts to step out of priesthood do not seem as simple and straightforward as he had planned.

"The Robe of Sins" is an excellent read!!! The scripture 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you" This scripture captures the essence of the title" "The Robe Of Sins" When Jesus Christ put on our sins, He wore it like a Robe of Sins, carried all of our sins to the cross while He endured beaten and abused. He loves us so much, He laid it all at the cross and gave us mercy, we do nothing ourselves. "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor. 5:21). "The Robe of Sins" is so unique that I take pleasure in writing about it. As I examine the words on "The Robe Of Sins" several questions come to mind. Does any of these words help encourage you and your brothers and sisters in Christ? Do they build you up or tear you down? Do they empower you to feel better about yourself or others? Can these words be used to help build up the kingdom of God? If your answers to these questions is no, then they qualify for a place on "The Robe Of Sins". "God removes our filthy clothes (sins), then provided us with fine, new clothes, the (righteousness and holiness of God)." (Zechariah 3:3-4) NLT). We can learn how to wear righteousness in a sinful world. When Satan tries to bring up our past and make us feel dirty and unworthy, remember that the clean clothes of Christ's righteousness make us worthy to draw near to God. As you unveil "The Robe Of Sins" here are some questions to consider.¿What exactly is sin?¿Are there different types of sins?¿Are there different levels of sins?¿Who committed the first sin?¿Is it possible to live without sin?¿How sin affect our relationship with God?

Robes and Honor is a fascinating exploration of the possible common origin and subsequent developments of investiture across medieval Christianity and medieval Islam. The ceremony in all of its cultural variety was much more than the public adoption of a high-value textile as symbol of office; within a culture, robing established a personal link 'from the hand' of the giver - king, pope, head of a sect, ambassador - to the receiver - noble, general, official, nun, or acolyte. This volume challenges current thinking on religious and regional boundaries of 'cultures,' raises semiotic issues about imagined communities, and addresses problems of kingship.

How can we understand what we do not know? How can we comprehend what is outside our experience? God is holy; we are sinful. God is all-powerful and all-knowing and perfect love and we are not. He knows us completely, and it is the desire of his heart for his children to know him. The best teachers will patiently lead students one step at a time, using what students do know to increase their understanding of what they need to learn. God is the master teacher. God reveals himself to his children, in the Bible and in everyday experiences, using what they do understand to help them learn the truth about who he is. He takes what is familiar to them and says, At least in some ways, I AM like that. It is not enough to have knowledge of what God said; we must have understanding of what he wants us to learn. Examine thirteen metaphors God uses to describe himself and find deeper understanding of this God who wants you to know him.

Provides an illuminating look at the diverse world of Black religious life in North America, focusing particularly outside of mainstream Christian churches From the Moorish Science Temple to the Peace Mission Movement of Father Divine to the Commandment Keepers sect of Black Judaism, myriad Black new religious movements developed during the time of the Great Migration. Many of these stood outside of Christianity, but some remained at least partially within the Christian fold. The Black Coptic Church is one of these. Black Coptics combined elements of Black Protestant and Black Hebrew traditions with Ethiopianism as a way of constructing a divine racial identity that embraced the idea of a royal Egyptian heritage for its African American followers, a heroic identity that was in stark contrast to the racial identity imposed on African Americans by the white dominant culture. This embrace of a royal Blackness—what McKinnis calls an act of “fugitive spirituality”—illuminates how the Black Coptic tradition in Chicago and beyond uniquely employs a religio-performative imagination. McKinnis asks, ‘What does it mean to imagine Blackness?’ Drawing on ten years of archival research and interviews with current members of the church, The Black Coptic Church offers a look at a group that insisted on its own understanding of its divine Blackness. In the process, it provides a more complex look at the diverse world of Black religious life in North America, particularly within non-mainstream Christian churches.
